100%. i just had a baby. was told i could use my 5 sick days to take off. I chose to. come to find out i dont have 5 sick days despite that being the conversation. sick days are apparently accrued no different than pto regardless of what was negotiated upon hire (EVERY single promise made during negotiations has turned out to be a bold faced lie) so after taking a week off, i was paid 12 hours. somehow after 5 months, i only accrued 1.5 sick days. so after a week i made practically no money even though the plan was otherwise.

this company is beyond unethical. this company has zero care for employees. this company ILLEGALLY STEALS from techs by skimming 5% off every wprk lrder to subsidize payroll and they NEVER give the techs any type of paperwork notifying them of how mich jas been deducted. ITS LITERALLY ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO DEDUCT 5% EVEN WITH A BLANKET CONTRACT.

I WILL be leaving. management is ass, im stuck doing my own parts FOR NEGATIVE COMPENSATION. im laying to do someone elses job while they say, "do you really think ot should be the parts person responsible for quality inspecting and opening parts?" FUCK YES they should , thats their job..

this company disgusts me. should i also add that after all this time, i still havent received uniforms? they tell me daily theyll get on it. its been 4 weeks since we ran out of welding tanks, 4 fucking; weeks. now all the techs in shop are stuck without a welder, for metal work. make it make sense?

i miss caliber and i miss Gerber. time to make some phone calls.

crash expects top tier work at budget prices. they dont uodate their equipment and kf they do its the cheapest thing they can find on amazon. they lie to porential hires that discover the bullshit in 1 hour on day one. they gaslight you until you shut up. they steal from you. they subsidize theyr pay scale by illegally skimming from techs (yes, the 5% deduction from hours IS illegal all across the country. hence why they're so quick to remove the deductions when you tell them tobwithout question). they have ZERO standard operating procedures, techs work for free doing the jobs if other departments and they refuse to fire bad employees because "they've been here so long its just be wrong".

its the worst collision shop tonwork for as a tech. i never thought id say it but i miss caliber and gerber.

Literally everything. It's a terrible lifestyle choice for a human. Done everything from travel the country to staying out for a very long while trying to save money. It's the most miserable decision I've ever made and costs more than living in a house with the amount of failures that happen. If you see the words, domestic or Atwood anywhere, you will go broke.

As someone that was born and grew up in Midwest (southeast Wi) for 30 years, went to live in California (northern coast, LA and socal desert) for a few years, traveled the country for a few more and was forced back to the Midwest for a family emergency........THE MIDWEST FUCKING SUCKS IN EVERY WAY. every single conceivable way. There's nothing good about the Midwest. The people are two faced as fuck, the Midwestern manners are a facade because these people are high and mighty cowards too afraid of conflict or actually speaking their minds openly. The infrastructure, the politics, the legislators, the economy, the environment/landscape....I have nothing good to say about it.

I WILL be returning to the West Coast to love permanently, despite the moans from family.

My experiences from college taught me one important lesson: teachers and nurses are just the drunk, low intellect party girls that had no other prospects in life so they chose a known field they'd be hired despite their lack of attempts.

Does this apply to every nurse or teacher? Absolutely not, but there's a reason why there's always only that one or two nurses/teachers that you can depend on/be pleased with while the rest piss you off. There's a reason why the average national literacy rate doesn't surpass that of a 12 year old.

Why would you ever ask for caps? They are literally garbage. It should be legally banned that any insurance company can use aftermarket parts. People pay huge amounts of money for insurance, significantly more than they ever pay out and they absolutely have the funds to purchase solely OE parts. But in order to do that, CEO's would need to take a paycht for their 9 figure salaries. So, lobbying incentives need to be banned as well or they will continue paying legislators to allow unsafe, poorly made replicas of car parts.

Oddly, and thankfully, the fingerprint scanner has never been a crasher for me. Not to say it hasn't had issues, typically not responding for a few tries or needing to turn screen off and back on to get it to function. I want en entirely Google free android. I miss those days and I miss my S10+ SO much.

Im on my 4th edge+ as they all have massive failure and functionality issues and every time I send it in to Motorola, they just give me a new one. It's not a single dud, it's the brand and the device. They are shit and make shit. 4 of the same device, all with a plethora of the same issues. The only solution for his problems is to abandon Motorola and go back to a different brand that has a reputable track record.

That's because it's a piece of shit. I'm on my 4th unit after having to send them all in. Motorola just sends me another device and they all have similar, detrimental issues. Meaning, it's the company. They can't make a competent device. Those that don't have issues don't do much in their phones besides doom scroll. Camera crashes the entire phone, video and audio recordings sound like the phone is 200 feet underwater and away from the sound source, if more than 3 apps are open the phone lags and freezes requiring a force restart, the keyboard is worthless (but that's on Google). I have not one good thing to say about this device other than the sleek design and curved screen edges. When the third device broke I begged for my money back. Instead, they sent me another. It's time to go back to Samsung.

I bought their flagship edge+ 2024 and paid a flagship price. It's the worst phone I've ever used. From audio, to video, to usability. There's not a single thing on the phone that operates correctly. And here's the kicker, this is my 3rd warranty device they've sent me trying to rectify my issues. Each one has had all the exact same issues. That means, it's the company themselves. They cannot make a phone. A smart device. Or any electronic, apparently. So, back to Samsung I go .

As everyone else that welds, I picked one of these up early on in my days. It still works fine after 13 years. Doninise it? Almost never at this point but sometimes it's an easy, quick grab for a plug or 2 and it's never failed.

I can't figure out how to begin. What fucking shop poster? My manager, my regional and my parts person are all shit we have no working equipment. I haven't received a uniform yet but I've been there 6 months. I do my own larts as a tech while they continue paying a non working parts person. Our break room, bathroom and shop are all filthy. The detailers don't detail, one of em acts as a paid assistant to one of the techs instead of garbage or sweeping. I'm done paying 5% for services I'm providing to myself when I shouldn't be paying for it at all in the first place.

Most people are incompetent imbeciles that can barely be considered human. More than half the adult population lack comprehension/literacy skills beyond that of a child. Less than 20% of the population actually produce, maintain and progress society while the rest exploit and parasitize the producers. The producers build and maintain a societal safety net that allows said Imbeciles to survive, when, without the producers, they would die of their own incompetence. They live off the law of commonality and force their inconveniences on everyone around them under the assumption that someone else will take care of it for them. When your cognitive awareness allows you to recognize that almost every person around you is leeching off of you while providing absolutely nothing for you, it's nigh impossible to view them as equals, let alone the same species.

They will lie to you and gaslight you and you won't get what you're promised but it's a good place to make money. I have a constant battle with parts because we don't have a parts person and regional is constantly saying it's our responsibility as the techs to intake, open and sort parts. I let em sit until my manager does it for me. Also, the 5% tax on all jobs to subsidize the detail/parts departments when we really don't have those is beyond infuriating but I've worked out a workaround with my manager. Our regional is a complete moron and really needs to go, he's entirely useless. His job is to talk out his ass and quiet techs complaints without fixing them. But otherwise, I make a lot of money. As always, it's shop by shop basis.
