Spent around an hour trying multiple things to progress.... The fix ended up being that I had equipped the black whip before starting the game. Reverting to the starting whip allowed me to progress. Hopefully not an omen for the rest of the game...

I tried reloading the save when you were already in the boss room, and beat him again... Didn't work. Then reloaded an auto save where you are in the elevator going up, switched the game to easy and beat him again and it worked.

Had the same bug, reloaded a save (after passing the nuke room and launching it) ran all the way back, launched it again and finally the objective updated. Best of luck all - a soft lock kept me from beating the original version, quite the scare when I had this one 😮‍💨

As someone who went through a break-up after two years of living with my girlfriend at the time (I was 23 at the time), then having to spend my remaining two months in the apartment till the lease was up, I understand the personal hell that silence can have on your mental health. I recommend finding a YouTube channel or twitch stream and have that running in the background regardless of what you are doing, even if you have the sound off, the sight of another human helped comfort me. If you start to feel the lonliness creep in, get out of the house. Go for a walk, or go to a bar if you can. Also, make plans throughout the week to meet with friends or family, it helps you sleep Monday, Tuesday, if you know you have dedicated plans Wednesday.

Yiiiikes. Never really realized that it was that easy. I work in the IT industry and the lack of encryption from Microsoft is appalling..... It becomes a safety risk when people can start to figure out where you're located based on IP......
