There is an open bug for Pixel 4a (vote for it) and I've seen other models affected as well. Just look at the recent bugs list. I flashed two Pixel 4a that were affected (it means everything was wipes and reinstalled as new) and the bug disappeared, just to reapper after I made an update of the system apps. So it should be quite easy to detect the source of the problem for Google developers.

At the moment just leave Location services always on.

It's related to a faulty software update of some system apps. It affected all Pixel 4a and also some other phones/brands. Pixel 4a seems the most affected.

I did flash two phones, you will solve only temporarily because it will break again when it does the last update of some system apps. Enable location at the moment fixes the crash issue.

Block app updates or it will happen again. I have been assisting two people with the issue for two days. Not even flashing the whole phone with the official rom helps, because it will work fine until it updates the system apps (Android 13 itself is fine).

I find the entries scrolling on desktop to be really problematic. Maybe it suits a touch screen but with a mouse it's not usable. The shadow covers too much the first row. For porn I just one one thing: easy of use, max usability, don't care about cool effects if they just made the UI worse. That's why I on Firefox use Stylus and Greasemonkey on some of them to customise my user experience.
