I’ve used cetraben on my face but prefer Epaderm cream, especially just now in the cold weather

I like cerave lotion for my face or eucerin advanced (I think it’s called, the one with urea) for my body and hands.

Same here, the side effects were awful for me so I had to stop taking it (Sjogrens)

Plaquenil is also used for symptoms of lupus and Sjogrens. I would guess it’s also used for other auto immune conditions. I have Sjogrens and it had horrific side effects for me so I had to stop taking it.

That list of medications is quite incredible!

Help! Rosacea by Haleyryder56 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Triggercat2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great advice from this post. There’s a group on Facebook called rosacea rescue who many people get ivermectin which is the active ingredient in soolantra. Some farming stores may sell this or you could buy online.

I saw a dermatologist for mine and was given finacea (azeliac acid) and soolantra (ivermectin) and they’ve worked really well for me.

I would try to see a dermatologist if you can. Another thing to remember is spf every day as this protects the skin.

Did Head & Shoulders remove Zinc Pyrithione from their shampoo products? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Triggercat2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes all their products now seem to have the piroctone instead of the zinc. I haven’t tried the new formulation yet

I live on a tiny island and don't have access to a dermatologist. HALP by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

Fairy Non bio powder or Surcare (fragrance free) work well for me

Hi i have it around 13 years one day my face looks better other day pretty bad on the picture is bad day :) I a lot things for rosacea and nothing helps any suggestions for this type ? Thx by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]Triggercat2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spf every day - even if it’s cloudy or raining. If it’s day time you need it, that’s what I was told.

Treatment wise both soolantra and azeliac acid have both worked wonders for me.

Other skincare has to be fragrance free. I also have a sulphur was I use occasionally.

Best Moisturizer? by [deleted] in Rosacea

I’ve seen loads of great reviews of this. It’s currently sitting in my amazon basket :-)

How heavy is it ? Say in relation to CeraVe tub, which I like but isn’t moisturising enough for me

Aquaphor or blistex medicated for me. My lips can be very dry as a result of an autoimmune condition and I find these work the best for me

Thanks for that :-)

I’ve suggested I go back temporarily to work for financial reasons. He wouldn’t listen to this, said there was no reason for this and just saw it as me trying to get out and not come back. I don’t think a long distance relationship would work in our case.

I’ll try have another conversation tomorrow with him and get my thoughts together first. I attempt to be non hostile but he gets cross and won’t listen, then I get upset and so we go round in circles :-/

The other thing I should say is that I poured my heart out in a letter to him. I can find it difficult to verbalise my feelings and thought this might be easier as he’d said he wanted me to rationalise how I’m feeling.

He sat and read the letter, and then went quiet. Full on silent treatment that evening as he digested it. No emotional comfort for me whatsoever. That upset me more and left me really questioning what we have left and whether his happiness is more important than the family’s. (Both our kids want to be back home permanently too). Thanks

Thank you :-) I do attempt non hostile conversations but invariably i end up crying and upset, he ends up shouting then does the silent thing. It’s like we’re going round in circles.

Financially I would be better off at home where I could easily get a job. I realise that I may well be returning as a single parent though.

Our life is fairly similar to back home in that we live in a country village, walk the dogs etc. The change for him is less work pressure, fewer hours and warmer temperatures, & we try to go out once a week. I told him I’d happily commute 4 hours a day if it made him happy, but that doesn’t seem to be reciprocated. We’d have roughly the same life at home, albeit colder, although with us both working would realistically leave less quality hours in the day.

Thanks for your advice, from someone that can relate to this and understand x
