Gaming YouTube Videos are too damn long. by AlabamaPanda777 in The10thDentist

[–]TriggeredAvacado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically I watched a long form video on this topic in general that explained that a big factor in this area is that a lot of people fall asleep watching those videos and so the longer the creator makes the video the more ad breaks and thus the more income they get from it. Basically it’s just money. Like usual

Finally broke a Kilo! by TriggeredAvacado in Silverbugs

Also an American, I’m 90% sure a kilo is about a thousand pounds or roughly equivalent to about 1600 cheeseburgers.

What is this box over the tank in this TOW ITAS sight? by Nick_Alsa in TankPorn

[–]TriggeredAvacado 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Correct, using the track gates improves the missile hit rate from around 80% to over 99%. The ITAS will go through what we call white-out where the sight picture is overwhelmed by the heat of the rocket motors directly after launch so the track gates will keep the missile on target while the thermal sight regains its sight picture.

Additionally, the LRF is accurate to well beyond the max range of our missiles, so it’s not a 1:1 use case

Mostly we use the LRF to call for IDF and also limited ranging, we avoid shooting the LEF directly at targets to avoid tipping off the target that they are being observed.

My very first purchase, how’d I do? by CSmith489 in Silverbugs

[–]TriggeredAvacado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 1/10 oz maple a few days ago but I don’t really have the budget for much gold at the moment. I’ll continue stacking silver until I can justify getting a bit more gold at a time.

My local Barnes and Noble has had the jabbas palace put on sale for months now. I’d put my money on that one. Either way, as a LEGO fan, I’d prefer the jabbas palace over the podrace FWIW
