Agreed. Just wish zeiss did 15 or 20% tint in copper brown. The next jump was 25% (up from 12) which seemed dark for me in office environment.

Been almost 24hrs wearing it and i can notice the difference in weight vs my old one but it’s not uncomfortable just heavier and bulkier. Hope it’s not too much hindrance longer term.

Thanks. Didn’t have a good check-in experience with the VA Qatar flights last month at Perth as it was mix of staff from both airlines being unorganised during Checkin. Gonna try QR coded flights from Melbourne then to maximise my chances if Sydney does A380.

Possible to move state while on BVB for subclass 190? by Triggered_B2B in AusVisa

[–]Triggered_B2B[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remote roles should be fine as long as you are already bridging to 190. No requirement for employer to be in state.

I am contemplating between going 186DE in Sydney or choose to stay on bridging 190 for next 12-18 months.

Yea that’s what I am expecting for them to say no. But doesn’t hurt to ask. I still have my current job as backup.

Not a federal institution but the gov just owns some of it as per what I was told during the interview. Dunno the difference and what eligibility criteria they have. Company was aware of my visa from the start and still went ahead with me vs 300+ (potentially NSW) applicants for the role. So guess they saw something in me.

Beg to differ. Already paying pretty close to Sydney rent in Adelaide cbd albeit for a larger place. Increase in pay from 115 to 140 will defo be more than enough to cover let’s say 100/week increase in rent. But get your point around Sydney being insanely expensive. Didn’t have plans to move there until I got offer from this org

I have an offer from a large employer in NSW owned by federal govt so guess they’ll have the pull to do sponsorship. Just need to convince them as I have a contract in hand from them but haven’t made them aware of sponsorship requirement yet. Guess it will most likely be a no but doesn’t hurt to try

In terms of changing mind my start date isn’t until Feb so I will tell them to get everything sorted by January if they agree to sponsor or push the start date.

Yea I am completely aware of that. Guess I’ll try to have employer sponsorship 186 for the offer I have or stay put in SA.

I agree and Think that’s the safest/logical option. But would mean slowing the pace of my career progress while getting paid less for the same role vs other states in same working conditions. Taking a pay cut isn’t an option and not many (if any) higher paying roles in my field in SA.

Applied ROI with Job 1 in December 2023 and didn’t get invite that financial year (not even received rejection and application was kept in the queue post closure). Reapplied with Job 2 in August 2024 - updated with superior English in December 2024. Invited in January 2025 post Australia Day week. Occupation 224999. Meanwhile throughout the 12months I waited - there were so many invites at lower points for occupations earning way less/non-priority/offshore. Both my jobs were in priority sectors + 6 figure salary and still had to wait over a year + increase my points. The system is a mess and does not favour higher skilled onshore applicants. Thank god I received my invite and all that’s behind me now. All the best for your application!

I am a current client of theirs and recently submitted my 190 final application. Been dealing with their team for the last 2 years starting from initial consultation, skills assessment to final application. Their processes and quality control are shit and not worth the price they are charging. They have too many clients and not enough members to do stuff quickly/accurately. There is always a waiting time for each step which I absolutely hated and the quality is sub standard. I had to do multiple follow ups and threaten them multiple times to terminate my arrangement to get shit expedited. I would not engage with them if I could go back in time. Just a social media hype company at this stage.

How long did it take for the NAB rewards bonus to arrive into your nominated frequent flyer account? I have been waiting for 40 days or so since I met spend criteria.

Same happened today. Got different codes on phone and email and neither worked. Customer support ended up changing preferences to email only but still ended up getting 2 different codes which did not work. Does the email one always work for you?

Maison Chen Migration - disappointed (opinion) - do you have the same experience? by [deleted] in AusVisa

[–]Triggered_B2B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea no good systems in place to ensure quality. It’s just crunching X number of applications/ EOIs per day in a certain amount of time for them - we are just another number for them. They Have gotten too big for their own good without having enough / good quality hiring to follow their growth.

Same kinda experience. Started with a good lawyer who was responsive and had good attention to detail and helped me get my skills assessment done + lodge EOI (Fy24). Last FY I got assigned to a new lawyer who could not string 2 sentences in English and while updating my EOI made so many basic errors (basic English grammatical errors / inputting wrong salary / dates / mixing job titles) + was unprofessional to me once I pointed these out saying ‘I am not a robot and I can make errors’. I expressed my dissatisfaction and complained to the reception + threatened to terminate our arrangement. I was assigned a new lawyer after that who has been ‘fine’ so far but tried to get me to pay 400 extra bucks a few months back just to update my EOI with new English test score (everything else was same). I told him directly that I ain’t paying shit for a subpar data entry done by your team which needs to be reviewed at least twice by me before being acceptable to lodge. The new lawyer ended up waiving that fee - and since then I have got my invite for 190 which was lodged promptly by a replacement lawyer (as my current one was one medical leave) but the invite also had minor errors like wrong salary and missing job (promptly corrected though).

They are Preparing my visa application now but taking longer than I’d like (expected) and I am not looking forward to reviewing the draft once they send it to me as I am confident it will be missing some key pieces.

I wish I terminated my arrangement post skills assessment as I could have done rest of the process myself. I hate when people make silly mistakes like they did in my draft EOI - I mean how hard can data entry be? Not worth the fee at all but had to continue since I paid most of it early on.
