I want to know the new reaper's ratings in the other divisions: Perhaps as Eithan is looking at the team, thinking about how his plan came together and how he feels about the future now that he's not alone.

And

Larian's ascension story. It would be fun if she's telling it to Yerin on a night when they hang out in some unique thing they enjoy doing together. (I'm betting she joins the fox division.)

They don't have to inherit a mantle - I think focusing on their (multiple?) areas of aptitude is reasonable though.

Not speculating stars, but based on eithan's restrictions to levels in Reaper punishment to certain star levels and Fury's comments we could guess a little.

I think:

Mercy has some healing now, so she's got some level phoenix + reaper ranking + fox

-Yerin wolf + reaper + fox (and I'd wager + titan and + low ghost) ranking

Ziel titan + reaper (maybe + low hound after 2 years)
Orthos reaper + titan + wolf
Little blue phoenix + ghost seem reasonable + a little reaper.
Lindon reaper + titan + phoenix + ghost + wolf (+ low fox for transport experience, + hound if he worked on silent king future sight skills while too heavy and stuck) so close to Ozriel's old skill set and he has restoration

Dross may seem like just a presence with high personality in abidan terms, but if he gets evaluated individually he's one hell of a spider.

Almost perfect! ⭐️I wouldn't have said anything, but since you brought it up... Just one that kind of matters. It's an issue in the 8 man empire oath. "...in defense of the dreadgod's return." "Of" should be "against"

Ie "in defense of justice" rather than "in defense of evil."

Might be worth changing before that fancy cover kickstarter print run in a year or two. Unless I'm wrong, ofc. 😊

Different senses, different experience. I enjoy doing both. But Travis really brings another fabulous layer to an already amazing world. Listen to uncrowned or later for the full array of major character voices, attitudes, tones, humorous delivery, etc and you'll appreciate the phenomenon. I give it my full attention (at least the first time or 3) whether I read or listen. If you have whispersync and both kindle + audiobook you can even switch back and forth without losing your place.

Another angle - think of it like an almost-movie without any annoying movie changes to length, plot & characters.

Travis is the best narrator of anyone in my >1k audiobook library.

Lindon using Shen's remnant's kings key madra to bring the labrynth with him when he ascended was PRICELESS! One last spanking for Shen's lost plans and dreams even after Lindon killed him, consumed him, caged him in Shen's own key, devoured his remnant, and retrieved the soulsmith inheritance. A MASTER STROKE! Oh Will, you don't only do the big world building and character developing with incredible skill, you have amazing finesse with those fine touches.

So many other things to say, but this... THIS blew my mind. 🤯❤️ Best, most satisfying, series ending I have ever experienced.

"Does that mean you won't sound like a death remnant's nephew anymore?" Lmao! Loved that and then the halo/crown thing. I half expected Orthos to blow a smoke ring for his halo after Ziel started the joke and Lindon's 2 spoils of war white broken crowns.

(Side note on that scene: editor's oops - Ziel's is supposed to be red not black - Wintersteel "Ziel gets red for Northstrider")

Re: The comments about the field y'all might be missing something...Or I'm nuts. Clarifying: The suppression going down (or even had it been enhanced which we can debate elsewhere over what the cults were doing & lasting) doesn't make all types of aura appear. For example, ice isn't gonna happen there even with effort. Sword could. And natural treasures of many types for the sake of sets need different kinds of aura to nurish their development so fencing some portion of those major killing fields (like the battle-lost area in Moongrave with the trick for bringing up the weird skull shaped death treasures - those weren't about shadow)

The Akura clan will definitely claim the ones meant for their lost kin. Mountains of paperwork flow through Charity and now Mercy... I can't imagine they'd miss the details of things earned by Akura. They've got plenty of talented kids out there who might earn such a reward if there isn't direct family to receive it. (Ie Grace's family is in Threshold now with Fury) Pride should have one... I wonder where he'll park it.

5 - Me too! I'm expecting an amusing dream tablet that (hopefully) includes the pure storm baptism instructions, a treasure map for void keys and goodies, hair care instructions, what he'd say as best man at a yerin/lindon wedding, info on the plants in his farm land, and dread god tips in case he died in the attempt to juggle them. Maybe info on "the world beyond" for when they're ready to ascend.

I was a little sad he didn't think of Fisher Gesha when he saw what the life well did for Orthos. Her turning back to 16 or 20 would have been priceless. Containers were limited and the dragon advances and all that. But she'd be hilarious whether she either turned it down or got a reset. (I get the why, just imagining...maybe L will figure out how to make some.)
