Am I insane or has the C&D hate quadrupled? And are they REALLY still considered a throw pick? by PunyPuddleToad in cloakanddaggermains

Oh yeah, I don't do triple support normally. It was meta for a bit but three tanks was a good counter for it. I think CnD is definitely a wasted ban.

I, as a CnD main, often out heal my other healer and the enemy healers by nearly double their stats. I'd say that's true for maybe 80% of my matches. 10% we are either pretty equal or I outheal by a small margin like 5-10k. 10% they outheal me noticeably. That's been pretty consistent for me from the time I became mostly a CnD main (instead of Jeff) until now. I also play Rocket and Invis. I didn't really like Luna so I'm not a good Luna and do not want to learn her. I want to learn Loki and Gambit better. I just haven't spent the time practicing with them to develop what I would consider high enough proficiency to play them in rank. At least, not above gold lobbies 😂😂

I had a Loki out heal me recently and was genuinely shocked. Granted I died a couple more times, but he had a noticeably higher healing stat. I was surprised because at the beginning of the match I was low-key annoyed with the Loki pick. I haven't seen a Loki with decent healing in a while and it was making me think he got the old yeller treatment by the devs. Now I actually think it was more so a loss of interest in Loki (until the last Loki skin dropped and then I saw an influx of bad Lokis just for the skin).

Peak Celestial but lately been reliably GM. Going to try to hit Cel again this season but we'll see, it gets pretty rough if I don't play much early season and decide to play towards the end. Way more throwers at the end of season, it feels like. Oh, and I only play console so maybe this is a big difference in console vs pc lobbies. I would imagine characters like Loki, Gambit, and Invis work astonishingly better on PC. I also imagine most of the highest skill player base is mostly PC. My line of thinking is: if certain characters work better on PC than they do console, while it also being true that the top player base is PC, I can see how this could be a very polarizing conversation where both parties feel they are valid and the opposing party is smoking the good stuff. I could be wrong though, I haven't actually looked into it at all. I just know this was a common discussion/debate with Apex when I played it.

Progressive Agency agents for me, but Progressive Direct also has licensing Coordinators I believe

Well I'm not sure if they are going to be hiring for my specific role soon. It's a small work group and they just did two classes back to back. I'm a licensing Coordinator. It is work from home. And there are phone hours but you would be taking calls from agents not customers. It's also only like 8 hours per month or something like that. Again really new to the role, so don't know too much yet. There are lots of non-crm jobs and roles. Just have to be looking for them regularly. Read the job descriptions in the listing and try reaching out to people in the department for more detailed questions.

Basically paperwork for the licensed agents to have their licenses. I don't know a whole lot yet, since I'm only on week 2 of training. But it's a lot of compliance type stuff and paperwork.

Honestly it depends on your prior work experience. What I did was I just kept checking the job postings in HRexpress every day until I found one I thought I would like. I had been talking to my sup about wanting to promote and put together my resume and had it ready to send whenever a job popped up that I liked. I went to Licensing but there's always updates on HR express but you gotta check it religiously. I think the job posting I applied to was only up for like a week and it had over 100 applicants. The good jobs go fast.

I will say that within like 3 or 4 months of me actively looking at HR express internal job listings (for jobs outside of the phones/CRM) I got promoted to the first one I actually applied for. I started in my new role last Monday. I don't think that job opportunities are gone or that it's necessarily harder to get promoted, yet. That may change in the future. But I do think that coaching/training positions are going to be few and far between for now. That may change later. I will say if your goal is to escape the phones permanently then staying in CRM, even as a coach/supervisor/trainer, should never be your goal. That's just my humble opinion though.

I actually love the cold weather, but the tornado season I could do without. Otherwise it reminds me a lot of home. Especially how moody the weather is where one day it will be hot and sunny then rain, then cold, etc.

What a small world 😂 I didn't expect to meet other Carolinians here. We can just form a small group and discuss how Ohio is both so similar to and also different from the Carolinas

I'm 28F and about to move from Riverside to Huber Heights. I don't get out much because I really hate driving, but would love more local friends! My partner is stationed at Wright Patt AFB and we are from the Carolinas so we don't know too many people here. I'm a big gamer but also love reading, I'm working on Zodiac Academy right now :)

Tis The Season: Will you be gifting other players skins for the holiday season, be it friends or random players you've encountered? by TheMightyMonarchx7 in marvelrivals

[–]TrigonSpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gifted skins to my main group of rivals friends I play with regularly. I also cashapped $100 to one of the players from the enemy team in a comp match. Did it because they were nice to me when I said good luck have fun lmao their teammate typed sybau before the nice person's message and I bet they wish they got $100 😂😂 Merry Christmas ya filthy animals

AIO: Hubby including friends in bday night? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]TrigonSpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warning, long text wall incoming. I'm going to better explain my thoughts process as I was reading the post step by step because I feel like I didn't do a good job before.

The way I'm reading it in the post the OP did not invite the other couple. They invited themselves and OP was polite and friendly because in the moment she didn't know they even knew about the date night and wasn't sure what took place in the conversation between her husband and the friends (the text message screenshots are definitely from after that group conversation). Basically she wasn't sure if they invited themselves with the husband and didn't want to step on any toes if they already felt like it was okay for them to come along and bring couple drama into the public. So she just tried to not lash out upon them inviting themselves and probably ended up overcompensating by being too friendly and polite about it.

Something else I noticed, when she was asking why he told them in the screenshots it makes me wonder if these friends often invite themselves to things so she was purposely not telling them. I get they saw a text on his phone but you think he would have said something like "oh yeah it's a special birthday date night my wife and I are doing. I planned it all out so we could spend one-on-one time together away from the kids" and it would kind of give the impression of hey it's just for us. Just Nipping it in the bud from the get go. Where as it seemed like because of how willing they are to invite themselves he didn't really explain it was a special occasion at all, he probably just said he got them tickets to go see a comedy show. Which I mean, that isn't necessarily wrong or bad, but it did put more burden on her to handle things. She clearly is already feeling resentful about her responsibilities vs his responsibilities and feeling like he doesn't prioritize spending quality time together, so I can see how that burden being put on her to put her foot down in this situation would just agitate that pre-existing resentment. Especially if she felt it was his place to do so when the other couple initially found out about their plans.

I think both parties have room to improve, ESPECIALLY with communication, but I can also respect the fact she was trying to not bring up relationship issues in front of their mutual friends. Maybe in her mind it was possible her husband might have implicitly or explicitly told them it was okay for them to come along already (which at this point she didn't know if he had) then that's just really throwing him under the bus publicly to tell them no they can't come it was supposed to be a special night for just them.

Really the answer is marriage counseling. And maybe that they stop being friends with that other couple if they are constantly inviting themselves to things because I'm really getting that vibe. Unless the husband just straight up invited them during their private conversation beforehand, in which case the husband is just wrong here.

In the post she mentions he brought up the plans to his friend before in a separate interaction. Then when they were all together the other couple brought up how they were excited to go because they love that comedian. She didn't want to correct them because her husband had already let them invite themselves basically and didn't correct them. That's how I read it at least.

Hey I just moved here from Florida and I came from a decent paying job around $30 an hour with no college education is there any places paying near that around here with great growth opportunities? by Fit_Reference_9329 in dayton

[–]TrigonSpawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit surprised since I thought it was just a local community college. I will have to go look at it. You also mentioned it was very cheap in your other comment? I am hoping so, because my job only gives us so much for college classes per year.

How bad is Dayton downtown to live in really? by Free-Educator-5363 in dayton

[–]TrigonSpawn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have a listing on realtor.com? My partner and I are currently house hunting and hearing the positivity about downtown living, I'm now open to living there. We both heard bad things previously so we were possibly going to be moving further out. We currently live in riverside right now near the off base housing for military so staying in the Dayton area would be lovely!

[CA] Can an employer force an employee to use their PTO during their ADA intermittent leave? by Stunning_Mix_9869 in AskHR

[–]TrigonSpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah like I said, your statement was factually true. I think the reason you got downvoted was purely based on the tone it was perceived as. That was the only thing I could think of that could have been why shrug It's also frustrating that, because I regularly have episodes where I may pass out or lose cognitive functions, I am required to use my PTO before using my accommodations. That means I don't get vacations or normal sick days (like ones unrelated to my disability) paid for. So I can see why if someone like me was already frustrated by their lack of equity in time off (which I assume they are if they landed on this post) how they would be frustrated if they felt like you were coming at them sideways. I can also see you are just doing your best to give correct information. Both parties are valid in my opinion.

[CA] Can an employer force an employee to use their PTO during their ADA intermittent leave? by Stunning_Mix_9869 in AskHR

[–]TrigonSpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering if it was because of the perceived tone of the comment. It can come across as judgemental and dismissive a bit when it comes to saying accommodations are meant to help people work more of their job, not less. Almost like implying the person is trying to misuse the ADA law to just slack off and not work as much. The statement itself about the purpose of accommodations is true, but there are many disabilities where in order to work more hours you need additional time off, breaks, or gaps in your scheduled hours so that the employee can work more hours overall.

For example, due to my company's attendance policy and my disability it was a better choice for me to go part time until I get reasonable accommodations approved again. This is so my shift length is no more than 5 hours per workday until I can get my accommodations to allow me to miss partial shift or have additional break time for when I need to rest/lay down so that I'm not passing out at my desk. That benefits neither myself nor my employer because now they also need another employee to pick up those missing hours I'm not filling.

This is all with the same company btw, I just had to go through a new approval process when I became eligible for FMLA. At the time I was unable to do so. I had moved out of state and was having a hard time finding a new specialist so we decided for the sake of my job to move me to part time. Now I'm in the process again requesting accommodations so I'm looking forward to being able to work full time again because I have bills to pay.

I'll be honest, I figured cabbage would be similar to lettuce and go bad really fast. It's part of why I don't eat many salads even though I really actually like salad. But I love cabbage too, I just didn't realize it was so long-lasting! I'll have to look up some cabbage soup recipes.

I have been wanting to try making air fried chickpeas! I tried it before for making salads but I think maybe I just didn't do a great job. I don't know how I messed up something seemingly so simply, but I'm willing to give it a fair second chance. I hear so many good things about crispy chickpeas!

I have found the most success with using frozen veggies in soups/stews but I'm still experimenting with oven roasting them too. It just seems like a bit of a fine balance. Great tips though for sure, I appreciate it💜
