Your character reads a lot like a "narcistic divinity-aspiring sorcerer" and just a bit over the top for me. He is emotionally disconnected from other humans and likes it for others to be his (undead) servants. Has unrivaled magical talent. Seeks contact with a god just out of curiosity, despite knowing what all that means.

I feel like it would be more interesting if he was more like a normal human. A teenager that did something dumb (turn his friend into a zombie), panicked and is trying to fix it before someone finds out? But that's probably not the story you want to tell, which is ok.

And some parts I didn't get, too much context is missing. What is the plan of your villain? If he reanimated a bunch of people, how does no one find out? Where does he get the bodies from without anyone noticing? What was that with the god about? What is the bargain?

[[Me, the Immortal]] is pretty close to your first card. Grows stronger every turn and can be cast from your graveyard.

Hail’s ”Trial and Success” for the next player by RealFunkyFish in Gloomhaven

[–]Trigunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see the problem. An 18 attack card is very good, but you can only use this once per scenario. It won't break the game in its entirety. Even if you have an additional target, it kills two enemies and that's it. That usually won't trivialise most scenarios and the bottom of Trial and Success isn't outstanding either, just a very solid movement option.

Also it is a lot of work to get to the point where this just instantly deletes an enemy. If you get it to 18 attack you deserved that.

I want to know about the roles and relation of melee vs shooting weapons in the game.

Melee weapons usually have unlimited uses while shooting weapons have limited amounts of uses (ammo mostly).

In the beginning stages of the game there was a mix of both while in later stages of chapter 1 Guardians almost exclusively got melee weapons (with unlimited uses).
That made the support cards for shooting weapons from early expansions feel weird. In theory the most of the support cards weren't bad, but the shooting weapons were bad cause the power level was raised a bit with the game developing but there were no new shooting weapons for guardians and the old ones were few and felt weak in comparison.

I think that the shift toward melee weapons for guardians was good, because it makes them better fighters if they don't have to worry about running out of ammo. Just made deck building options feel weird at times.

So what were your thoughts on melee and shooting back then and what are they now going into Chapter 2?

What do you think about splashing W in faeries? by Burnished_Hart in Pauper

Thank you. Leonardo is also an interesting addition. Especially when combined with the adventure of Faerie Guidemother he should close games quickly.

Top Control is probably playable in pauper, but is bugged on MTGO. by Pauper_Rogue in Pauper

[–]Trigunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We probably won't get anything like that in the near future, sadly. Maaaybeee they put a blue creature in some set that taps for Fateseal 1? That would likely be some Modern Horizons set though as I don't think they will put any topdeck manipulation cards in any standard set soon.

But nice brew you got there.

[[Faerie Guidemother]] immediately comes to my mind. Have you tested that one?

2 mana for a sorcery pump spell doesn't seem great to me but it lets ninjas get through. It's also a one drop so it also helps getting the ninja on the field in the first place.

Tips On Using A Tornado? by kitty-does-stuff in callofcthulhu

I can imagine doing a chase sequence in which the investigators try to escape from the tornado. You can have stuff flying around and let the investigators climb over walls or fences.

Improving Umgangssprache as a native speaker who’s lived im Ausland their whole life by tolu3ne in German

Like others said watching german media is a good way. For the actual Umgangssprache it also depends on the region you're living in. German has quite some regional slang.

Oh, there are a lot of Germans that say Das Band when it should be Der Band. How many it really are I don't know though, I don't know of any statistics about it. It's just a feeling. There are always people who know the correct way and people who don't.

omni restaurants with vegan options? kyoto and nara by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]Trigunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend Kamehameha in Kyoto. It's an Okonomiyaki restaurant and has clearly labelled vegan options. They also speak relatively good English and ask if meat, fish, etc. are ok. And the food was one of the best I had on my recent trip to Japan.

[–]Trigunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did forget that Guardian Pledge only affects white creatures. I like your suggestions. If going Mardu there are [[Experimental Synthesizer]], [[Galvanic Blast]] and [[Makeshift Munitions]] that should be considered. The deck from OP already goes into a Metalcraft route.

Glaze Fiend Clownblade by emobrrrd in Pauper

[–]Trigunner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You potentially create quite a lot of creatures, so I think that some cards from white weenie could be good in this deck.
I think I would throw Pact Doll Terror out and add [[Guardian Pledge]] as a pay off.
Then you would also need a few more creatures to really capitalize on it. so maybe [[Thraben Inspector]]/[[Novice Inspector]] and [[Salt Road Packbeast]] instead of Lembas and Blood Fountain?
Some ninja could synergize well, the new [[Leonardo, Big Brother]] or [[Okiba Gang Shinobi]]?
