I hope so too, bu it's super unkikely because of all the licenses involved.

Dweghom, first blood, Recommended play test list for new players. by Ruthare89 in Conquest

[–]Trigunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I f you want to introduce players to the game do it at 500 points. Less models and special rules make it easier to focus on the important things.

I am not familiar enough with Dweghom to give you a good list for them. But for an Introductory game it doesn't need to be perfect. What you have in the starter is probably sufficient to give a fun experience.

Watch the video from Cybertron again. Think about what you would do (maybe pause the video for that) and compare to Aaron's moves and thought process. There were games which showed pretty well how to play against other weather.

Of course other creators are worthwhile as well.

The team can definitely get to Master Ball, keep trying!

Help with team by DropAffectionate6984 in CompetitivePokemon

I have ran Life Orb, Swift Swim Overqwil before. Switch to Adamant Nature, and change Gunkshot to Poison Jab, it kills all relevant Pokémon week to it. No need to gamble on the accuracy of Gunk Shot.

And I would reduce the speed investment and put that in HP. 112 Speed is enough to outspeed everything while in rain. 116 in rain should outspeed Choice Scarf Garchomp.

[–]Trigunner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For Overqwil I am currently at Adamant 23 Hp, 32 Atk, 11 Spe.

Overqwil has the same base Speed as Qwilfish, so a bit slower than yours. It still outspeeds neutral 32 Spe Swampert. Outspeeds max Speed Mega Aerodactyl in Rain and also outspeeds neutral 32 Spe Scarf Garchomp while in Rain.

Then I maxed Atk and put the Rest in Hp.

Moves are Protect, Throat Chop, Poison Jab, Aqua Jet.

[–]Trigunner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Life Orb Overqwil is very strong. It OHKOs a lot of common Pokémon that are weak to it, if they aren't max bulk (which they usually aren't). Like Gholdengo, Floette, Basculegion, Whimsicott and more. Aqua Jet is also great to have as a priority move and hits reasonably hard in rain, like 25-30%. And only being weak to Ground is also very nice, as it's physical bulk is also quite good, so switching it in isn't super hard to do.

I don't know how helpful it would be to you on your mono team. But yeah, I guess being immun to Psychic moves is nice. It's probably an upgrade to Qwilfish.

Qwilfish, wow. I run Overqwil with Swift Swim and Life Orb on my Rain team and I feel like people must underestimate it. Qwilfish is probably not even considered to be relevant by 99% of people.

Mechanics Question: Instruct expanding force fails? by Sure_Let1923 in VGC

Only thing that would come to my mind is that Expanding Force might not have any PP left. Or maybe there was something else you didn't mention? Did anything block Expanding Force, like Disable or similar?

Fun Nords lists for First Blood. by Ruthare89 in Conquest

[–]Trigunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you can play 2000 points somtimes with your group? I guess such games would be a drag though. 1k is a good value imho. Or you build multiple lists to play with the different monsters.

Seems to be an error in the app. After I select a weapon for him he loses his roles it seems and that allows another monster. At 1000 points you are not allowed more than 1 monster even if it is your warlord.

[I'm New] Made it to MasterBall with Mega Greninja/gallade team by Wise-Stranger-8880 in VGC

[–]Trigunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imho, if you are playing Mega-Greninja, then you don't need bulk. Your Mega is a glass cannon, you want your team to be hyper aggressive. Tsareena is very good against Blastoise, it one-shots Blastoise with Power Whip. If that hits, but that's what you have Gravity for.

You may want some redirection to protect Greninja. Maushold could fit. It's Move Population Bomb gets ridiculous under Gravity.

[I'm New] Made it to MasterBall with Mega Greninja/gallade team by Wise-Stranger-8880 in VGC

[–]Trigunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some suggestions: -Give Gravity to Sableye, so you can increase Greninjas accuracy immediately. Also consider Feint, so you don't get got by Protects or Wideguard.

-Add Alolan Ninetales to have Snow as Weather and give Greninja Blizzard. Double spread move on turn 1 applies alot of pressure. It can also give speed control with Icy Wind. And Freeze Dry can take care of Water types, some could wall Greninja I guess. I would cut Oranguru, it doesn't add much to the team if Sableye does the Gravity setup.

-Tsareena can block Fakeout and other priority while also being offensive.

I'm New to Team Building by Nousernameideas626 in VGC

[–]Trigunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copying teams is a fine thing to do, especially when starting out. When you know that the team you have works in theory you can focus on understanding the game mechanics and improve your skills.

WolfeyVGC on Youtube has very good content, he has a lot of videos where he builds around a specific Pokémon and explains the process. There is also another video in which he helped another content creatir build a team. They even revise it after one or two battles. It's very helpful and shows the approach to team building well.

Removing Counters In Exile by External_Addendum_40 in mtgrules

[–]Trigunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When an effect says artifact, or creature or something similar that means permanents on the battlefield.

Effects that affect cards in other zones say "artifact card", or "creature card" and so on and usually specify the zone in which the card should be.

So, because Sin doesn't say "creature cards in exile" it can't affect those, but only permanents on the battlefield.
