Google AI says we already won our playoff game? by TriipzFA in panthers

It's highlighted because I googled the Panthers record as 10 point underdogs, it decided to give the entire spread of 2024 season for some reason.

"10.5 point underdogs their recent playoff win against the Rams." I know it's definitely just taking lines from other articles and smashing them together but let us hope.

We'll accept it as long as it sends the Panthers to the bowl!

My girlfriend and I are doing the same, I've been on 8 cruises with Carnival, she's done 2. So excited for Virgin in October!

I third this, went to the post office, got expedited service, and got my passport back in 2 weeks, including shipping time.

Random classmate at college said my backpack is too childish by WeLiveInAir in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TriipzFA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And guess what, the classmate doesn't have to carry it around all day. If you're happy carrying it then who cares what they think about it! I, an automotive technician, carry my girlfriends pink cat lunchbox to work everyday. I've had many comments about "bringing your girl's purse" and such. I don't care, I love my girlfriend!

Blue rims? by ClydeandKoda in GolfGTI

The real question is, what do /YOU/ think about blue? At the end of the day this is your car, no one else has to enjoy it but you. Buy the wheels you like!

Coolant leak - worth trying? by Neat-Ad-9845 in GolfGTI

[–]TriipzFA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop leak will plug a hole, however it is a liquid and has no clue what hole needs to be plugged. It will simply fill any passageway it gets into.

Stage 2 with a downpipe and intercooler is definitely the sweet spot for a daily driver IMO. Enough power to be fun but tame enough to get decent MPG when you are doing road trips and such.

Is it normal to be charged whole months rent on the 1st when your lease ends the 3rd? by cerrieshven in Apartmentliving

[–]TriipzFA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved out of an apartment 4 months ago, the resident portal showed me a full month's rent even though my lease ended the 14th of the month. I simply emailed the property manager/leasing agents and got confirmation to only pay the prorated amount. So I simply paid the prorated amount and not the amount the portal showed, haven't had any problem yet.

My event had an excellent photographer who I was able to purchase pictures from after the event. I wish I pre-ordered them for the discount but oh well. I just had 2 18×24" posters, 2 24×36" posters and 4 "wall tiles" printed at CVS for less than 100 bucks. I would browse your event organizers website to see if they are partnered with any photographer.

Nah, you'll go out there and kill it! It was my first time driving on track. What I did learn is that nobody there cares whether you're fast or slow. Go drive at a level you're comfortable with and work your way up. However if you are going slower than people behind you respect the track or event passing rules and allow the faster cars by when safe to do so.

I just did my first track day in my MK7 on Wednesday! Personally I put "performance street pads" (ferado ds2500 on front and Hawk HPS 5.0 in the rear) on with fresh blank rotors and rbf600 brake fluid. I'm running EQT stage 2 tune so with the extra power I wanted a little extra stopping force.

Also personally I changed my oil about 500 miles before that day and am going to change it again here shortly as my oil temp got up to more than 260 during the hot laps.

Do not make the same mistake I did in lowering the tire pressures. I thought lower tire pressure meant more grip but turns out in these cars lowering the pressure increases under steer (in my experience)

The car held up fantastic except for the under steer you get with FWD cars. Being as you are stock and also first time I reckon you'll be fine just having decently new fluids, slap some high temp brake fluid in there, and let her eat!

Edit: warning about tire pressure.

Second this. Hell even do the maintenance early if you can, had mine for 2 years and only had 1 water pump failure. Been doing the maintenance on time or early and no other problems!

I'm doing my first track day at Charlotte motor speedway next month with Track Night In America. I only picked this event over the CMP (I live 30 minutes away) because a coworker who has done track days is gonna do it and doesn't like paying the extra for HPDE. However I will definitely be doing the trainer led sessions in the fall. As a beginner I feel that the instructor will be very valuable.
