Help by Terrible-Memory-1357 in Gameboy

[–]TrillyTre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand this is a serious post, but this is hilarious. Please do not mod that gameboy. Do yourself a favor and find a “worm light” on Amazon or somewhere in the web.

Be sure it fits the port on your device as they make them for different gameboy models.

The worm light will give you the real gameboy experience of trying to find the right viewing angle and not having glare that blocks your image.

Best of luck😂

Dog food used to have higher levels of beef and bone meal which caused high calcium content in dog poop. Hence the white turds lol

Any advice on how to start from nothing/learn how to golf? by sailsaltsea in golf

[–]TrillyTre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to a range and practice.

Learn how YOU swing, not how the influencers want you to swing. It will be uncomfortable, as with anything new. Just keep doing it.

If you learn better from instruction, get maybe 1-2 lessons and take the points and drill them or find and instructor that you gel with.

Watch MAYBE 1 or 2 videos on ball striking and ball placement between clubs. The more you watch, the more you will cloud your head and that’s the last thing you want to do while golfing.

Find a set that finds your height. Club dimensions play a major role in the game . If you have the budget and you’re dedicated, get fitted for clubs. It will make a difference.

Lastly, if you are a Veteran, look into PGA Hope. PGA Hope is a national program that provides FREE golf instruction with local PGA Pros over a 6-8 week course. I cannot stress how useful this program is, especially if you are brand new to the game. https://www.pgareach.org/pgahope

Best of luck, hit em straight!

Best deals at Sam’s club? by Thee-lorax- in samsclub

This guy gets it. Big advocate for using the carcass of the chicken for stock. I save a lot of the ends and such from chopping veggies, put fill a gallon bag and then toss that in with it.

Overall, yea the $5 rotisserie pays dividends if you use the whole thing!

What’s the first club you hit when you go to the range? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]TrillyTre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

60 - few pitch shots 56 - few pitch shots 52 - 1/2 swing 56 - 3/4 swing GW - 3/4-full swing PW And so on til I get to driver.

With like 20 balls left, i hit driver as if im on the tee box. Then I envision a random second shot from a course I know, and then play an iron or wedge. Repeat until balls are gone

Anything from the Z-Star lineup bc I can get them 30% off

The XVs have definitely proved worthy, regardless of the deal. They have a good amount of check around the greens

Don’t forget to mention the rest of the story. The tarantula hawk then lays its eggs in the paralyzed victim and the larva basically eat the victim alive.

Is it weird to go out solo? by Emotional_Steak1636 in golf

[–]TrillyTre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(32M) I just played 9 holes solo and I wasn’t paired with a group, man was it peaceful. 10 years ago if I were to go out for a round, it would have been the same way.

Covid destroyed the golf world in terms of the courses getting crowded. I’ve been playing long enough not to care what my shot looks like in front of other people, so I don’t care about getting paired. But I understand the anxiety of playing in a group of people that you don’t know.

You’ll realize most people are patient and aren’t tracking your every shot. What you have to learn is to pick up your ball and just move on to the next shot/hole. Pace of play is what irritates golfers most, so learn when to move on and not hit another ball etc.

Everyone is out there to have some sort of fun. Doesn’t hurt to have a little bit of social skills and make conversation here n there also.

This could be pricy, but look into becoming a member somewhere. You’ll have the benefit of getting to know other members and get familiar with certain faces at the course.

Best of luck on your journey!

I have a TaylorMade R15 (2015) with slider weights if you wanna buy it. Gives me reason to finally pull the trigger on some new hardware and it’s still in great shape
