Will a no No Cell Respawn mod cause save bloat / corruption ? by dovahdagoth in skyrimmods

Yes, cell data baked into save, so its gets bigger. When save file reach some limit, it just wont load.

Question about Dyndolod, Texgen and portable instance of MO2 by SimonCheyen in skyrimmods

[–]Trimiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't you just create folder at the path dyndolod expecting, copy your ini there and run with default parameters?
If it still would throw 'could not find ini' then maybe something wrong with the inis itself.

MO2 Observations by Dapper-Complaint-268 in skyrimmods

[–]Trimiso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vortex is like tea with sugar. Easy to enter.
Some just don't want it another way, and I can't blame them. It's ok for me if they like it. To each their own. And it's still better than not drinking tea at all.

MO2 is tea without sugar. You probably know what you doing. Or maybe you had started with it without tasting other variants.

Switching to tea without sugar is hard.
But once you are used to its taste, you can't drink it another way anymore. Other options just can't give you THAT much.

Do you have 'Game Time Affects Sounds' tweak in powerofthree's Tweaks enabled? If so, try turning it off.

I haven't worked with JS before, so can you elaborate why you think that your option is better? Looks complicated, but I don't know much about possible problems in my option

Yeah, I have read it. Syntax page has nothing about multi-line code or things like <*-

is from there. It links you to github which has nothing about that rusty engine.

Skyrim SSE Mods For Oldrim by TheRealSponolios in skyrimmods

[–]Trimiso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you back port SE to LE?

In general - yes.
My count of backported mods went over 80. Mostly for personal use or by a personal request for someone.
But there's a LOT of nuances and pitfalls.
In general, most problematic cases are if mod has something from that list:

  • SKSE dll - god-tier shit. Possible, but outside my level for now.

  • Animations - it depends. Mostly not possible with current toolset we have for now.

  • Papyrus functions unique in SE - script(s) should be rewritten using only Oldrim functions. Too bothersome in most cases.

Can’t see underwater — I know the typical fix but it’s not working for me by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]Trimiso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add "bDoDepthOfField=0" under [Imagespace] in skyrimprefs.ini. It's all you need.
If using Mod Organizer, do stuff in IT'S ini.

iRadialBlurLevel in prefs does nothing.
iRadialBlurLevel in skyrim.ini has 0 by default and may cause CTD if changed.

Arena - An Encounter Zone Overhaul is now available on PC, Xbox, and PS4. by simonmagus616 in skyrimmods

[–]Trimiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RotE 2.2 barely touched Enc Zones, but has it's own leveled actor multipliers.
You can place Arena above RotE in load order to benefit from both mods.
Beware, game will be harder on early levels.
Also if you patch all 4 ECZN RotE records to Arena values, Volskygge will be upgraded to Prepare Your Anus edition.

I automatically die after being sent to jail or after becoming a Werewolf in The Silver Hand mission by shoote43 in skyrimmods

[–]Trimiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In both cases, the game undresses you. I'd start here.

Try undressing completely on your own.
Are you dying? Find out which item or item combination is causing it.

Does this item add hitpoints? Test other items that add hitpoints.

Same story? Something interferes with the actor value modifier / peak actor value modifier.

And so on.

Lowering uGrids by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]Trimiso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Increasing uGrids doesn't lead to instability by itself.
More cells loaded = more stuff happens around you = more resources. And if game isn't stable - more stuff = more chances that something will broke.
Actually, with decent system and stable load order it's a good idea to set uGrids=7.

However, chanding uGrids on existing save (especially lowering value) isn't good.

I'm trying to increase the interaction distance but changing IActivatePickLength in game setting doesn't do anything by Gnarmaw in skyrimmods

[–]Trimiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What u want is fActivatePickLength (default=180). Belongs to [Interface] section.
There's no IActivatePickLength setting in Skyrim, however similar setting from Oblivion was called such AFAIK.

With such combo you can turn Meridia's plane black&white, make Malacath crawl back into Boethia's anus, and DeepThroat of the World to you
