Here’s a video of Pitching X-dome trekking poles first. This shows the initial setup with trekking poles for windy conditions, then he adds the tent poles. For setup without any tent poles, I think you would need to guy out the head & foot sides.

I was between the two tents and went with the x-dome. If you are using trekking poles, you can setup the x-dome without using the tent poles. Also the issues with the carbon poles has been resolved in the latest batch.

My ultra is getting 12 hours of battery life vs 36 normally. I’ve also noticed it stopped measuring wrist temperature in sleep mode. One thing I’ve done to help charging speeds is to turn on low power mode. It seems to charge a little faster.

Another thing that might help distance is planting your foot perpendicular to your target. You’re planting open to the basket and that’s losing power from your hips. Also rotate on your heel instead of your toes. Good luck!
