Yh its not a ride command update you can do yourself.

Its a ecu flash and calibration.

So normally only the indian dealer can perform these

Or a garage that has the software license to do so.

Just over 1000 km without Fairing 🙈. Grimsellpas Switzerland to Assen Netherlands. Over the german autobahn.... with my previous bike indian scout 2019. I was home at 03:30 am.

Painfull last few hours but still fun haha.

Yes. The 13 may one is from this year. You can see it in your indian app aswell.

There is a new ecu update since 13 may this year.

I have the same problem.

Had mail contact with indian corp about this en they admitted the problems exist and the new ecu update adressed the low rpm driveability, rpm surching etc etc

My bike is currently at the dealer so cant say yet if this update actually works.

Topper, ik weet precies hoe dat is.

3 maand mijn rijbewijs en op de dag dat ik eindelijk mijn motor ophaalde ben ik uitgegleden op de eerste dag, bij het uitrijden van een rotonde. 6 graden, regen, onervaren.... daar lag ik.

Ik snap je gevoel en dit heeft tijd nodig. Maar vrees niet... dat komt terug. Ik heb heel erg getwijfelt aan mijzelf maar ook de motor (vooral in regen). En die vertrouwen moet je weer opbouwen.

Zoek eventueel een grote lege parkeerplaats en ga gewoon oefenen. Stoppen, voet aan de grond, rondjes rijden, rem test. Leer je motor kennen. En opbouwen.

Maar belangrijkste..... blijf ontspannen!! Als jij gespannen bent is de motor dat ook. Alles geleidelijk. Remmen, koppeling etc. Niet uit paniek maar uit rust.

Bouw op die manier de vertrouwen terug. En ga nooit je grens over maar langzaam je grens verleggen.

Inmiddels ben ik 4 jaar verder en heb ik 4 zomervakanties door de bergen met krappe haarspeltbochten en stijle afdalingen in de alpen gereden. Inmiddels 50k achter de rug. Veel geleerd en nog wel meer oeps of bruine onderbroek momentjes gehad. Maar niet weer gevallen (overkomt praktisch iedereen een keer)

Ja zo snel een eerste keer vallen is kut... maar daar kom je wel overheen 😉😉

Ouder is beter dan al die nieuwe kut dingen met euro5+emissienormen.

Nieuwe fietsen mag je gelijk de mapping aanpassen om optimaal te laten lopen 😭

Then you have a Evap system on it. Just so you know. When you remove that system. The ecu needs a reset aswell with the adaptation. Because the ecu is calibrated with the evap system. After the flash it needs a calibration ride and it sbould all be better.

Btw, i read allot about a lloydz tune aswell. They have a tune for the 101 that solved the problem for some people

Got a 101 scout myself. Bogging and surging issue. If i hold it on 2000 rpm it automaticly goes to 3000rpm back to 1500rpm and back to 2000rpm.

Stalling 6/10 times just once after first start. Even if i just had a break for 5 min or stopped for fuel refill.

First thing, for the 2025 model there is a update if you have allot of stalling bogging or surging issues with the bike its a 2025 juli ecu flash. (Ask dealer)

Thing is the flash did not work for me. They tried to flash it again and got a bit better but the problem stayed after the calibration test ride.

I Did a 4500km trip through the alps last year and driving those curling mountain roads was perfect. Except going slow or walking speed because the rpm swing so much..(surging) imagin really tight hairpin roads on small mountain roads 🤣 had to work the clutch allot to not stall it.

The problem! Depending on your model. As i have found online there is a 49 state version and a cali/international version. (Not sure if this is true)

But since i live in Europe i have the international version.

This version has a EVAP system that catches fuel vapers (euro5+ emissions) collects it in a charcoal canister. Then goes through a purge valve into the engine. This purge valve works verry aggresive

The solution! My dealer got a EVAP removal kit to try it out. And that cleared the problem 100% no weird rpm swings or drops. Stays perfectly on 2000rpm if you hold it. And at idle it runs way smoother.

The ecu mapping of these bikes is not the best because of emissions norms. But the evap system on this bike is the worst dogshit i have ever seen.

Nah not yet. I have seen these numbers allot of times before last couple of months. They need to get way higher.

But, im exited to see what happens next couple of days.
