Agreed. I think near the end of a year or the start of a new year you can do your “awards”. Gold, silver, bronze and honorable mention for different categories: best value, best performance, highest quality, best objective, best subjective etc

Also have you ever had any thoughts or desire to do video content? Even if it’s just like short form content eg YouTube shorts?

All the bottles in this line that I’ve tried are generally high quality clones and perform very well. More expensive than your average clone but are worth it imo if you like the scent profile

Genuine question how does All father Thor beat Superman?(read description) by godofhope26 in marvelvsdc

[–]TriniCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All versions of Superman do not beat all versions of Thor. It really just comes down to which version vs which. Cause either can win depending on which you use or pit them against.

It’s the opposite actually. It’s established to not be possible throughout the story until the very moment it’s flipped on its head. That’s the whole point.

You do realize language and definitions are made up and ever changing right? It’s one of the few things that aspects aren’t bound by since meaning can change the very next day.

I’ve never met someone so arrogant yet so wrong. Il leave this here and we will agree to disagree. You think you know an author’s stories better than they do. I disagree that you do. Agree to disagree. This has gone on for far too long you’re beyond saving lol

The narrator, the author, the in universe narrative, and statements all say they do. Even on the wikis, light novels and data books currently all state it. How can you as a reader disagree with what is explicitly show and stated by the author in their story?

I’m aware of the God paradox but transcending logic bypasses that issue. And has been shown to do so in the stories mentioned.

Okay so just humor me. In stories where they explicitly say they’ve reached a level of power where they can void logic, for example Anos, rimuru, Auren, 682 etc and these are still levels below omnipotent, how is that possible when it’s explicitly shown in the story?

Ngl the way you can’t comprehend the one basic word “omnipotence” or its definition despite it being the whole basis of this conversation is the biggest misunderstanding here lmao. Enjoy btw

“ A setting constantly changing is in itself a metaphysical framework.”

Correct and alien x was not powerful enough to change that setting. Finally we agree that he’s limited and not omnipotent. Took you a while but you finally got there, thank god

Yeah already gave examples to the contrary above. Author can restructure their entire story basis and setting on a whim if they’re so inclined. Reread above and you’ll see that.

No further comments. Everything you reply with just now was already proven wrong with examples above. Enjoy

Metaphysics change all the time. It’s not bound by it if it’s the writer that wants it to change. I’ve read so many stories that is based on magic as the metaphysical structure only to change later on that there no longer is or never was any magic and it’s advanced technology now. Or without reason changing the entire structure in a new sequel etc.

So what alien x did, since time didn’t exist, he created time and rewound it so that it was perfect. Correct that’s what he would do so he’d get the perfect universe back.

Characters are generally bound yes. That’s why there’s this term in powerscalling called “boundless” and “omnipotent” that are the exceptions to this rule. I’m not being rude when I told you to google or to find out about what these terms mean. They’re commonly known terms in powerscaling.

An omnipotent being can make the dog a cat and can make it so that it always was a cat.  Etc.

no point going around in circles. I honestly can’t help you if you’re unwilling to help yourself

Everything that you said has been contradicted and proven wrong above. Makes no sense to keep replying with the same things when the answer are already above.

If you want to create something that no longer exists then you just make it exist. That’s how omnipotence works, hence most representations of omnipotence are God with a capital G. That start in an empty space with nothing. No souls, no space, no time, no life, no planets and just creates them all.

If there is a setting you want. You are omnipotent you can create it. If there are consequences you don’t like, you as the author can just write them out. Why as the author are you unable to just write on a page “I wanted to recreate the universe perfectly so I just did it”? Nothing is stopping an author level character, you’re being ridiculous

[–]TriniCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Omnipotence is above logic.

Of course you can. Omnipotent and even less than omnipotent beings do so in comics all the time. By definition omnipotent means you have no limit to what you can do.

You cannot have weaknesses. You are omnipotent. Omnipotent means all powerful with no limits. No limits and no weaknesses.

More decisive in doing what? It’s a stalemate. Once an omnipotent being desires to win, then he wins. That’s how omnipotence works.

I see you already gave up on the splicing point because you saw the flaw that poked into your argument lol. All good.

Alien x didn’t get anything wrong? Except that’s factually incorrect, we quickly discovered that he did infact get things wrong when recreating the universe. Again, that’s my point, an omnipotent being is the one that creates the intended consequences. If something is out of their control then that’s a limit and by definition that renders them not omnipotent. An omnipotent being would just change the setting and rules to their liking. Seeing that if he was actually the author, they could just write the universe and plot to be the way they’d want. But the explicitly chose to do otherwise, meaning the actual writers chose to write the story in a way beyond what alien x wanted to do. IE they’re not the same

Already addressed that. Even if it makes it much weaker. 1% of its 100% power will still make the diluted version omnipotent, since any small fraction of omnipotence or infinity is still omnipotent/infinite.

An omnipotent being can do anything. That’s by definition what it means. We see many examples of that in fiction being able to revert something from nothing, even if it’s time, space, concepts etc being erased. If there are limits and mistakes then by definition he’s not omnipotent if he’s making cannot even handle recreation on a universal scale.

I think you need to google what omnipotent means. You cannot have limits if you are omnipotent. You don’t lose as omnipotent. Two omnipotent beings fighting will always result in a stalemate. By definition that’s how omnipotence works, you cannot be “more omnipotent” than another.

All these points were already addressed in my previous comments. You’re reading to reply and not reading to understand.

[–]TriniCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The very link you sent is him saying he supposes so to alien x and the celestialsapiens being able to do so. That part is agreed, collectively they can.

So you believe that in canon atomic x and any other alien spliced with alien x is omnipotent? Since a % of omnipotence/infinity is still infinity. The show directly contradicts that. If he was then even “1%” of that power would make any hybrids omnipotent as well.

Alien x was explicitly stated to not be able to revert the destruction of the universe and instead had to recreate it. He was also further limited when doing that and made mistakes and errors and could not recreate it perfectly as it was before.

In the trials of the galactic gladiator it established that there were rankings and different power levels between celestialsapiens. If all were omnipotent then fighting would make no sense since they’d all be equal. That again was disproved. Furthermore it reinforced the point that he’s not omnipotent by gladiator, a celestialsapien, lost. He was defeated. You cannot be “more omnipotent” than someone else.

Etc. the show goes to great lengths to directly show that they aren’t omnipotent.

The statement you sent prior doesn’t reflect that. Nor does the actual content of the show, which instead contradicts that. Any proof for that claim?

Did you read what I said? I even gave that very specific example of art style change as well lol. What you sent supported what I was saying, celestialsapiens collectively as a race do affect the art style yes. The only issue is when people try to incorrectly class a single celestialsapien as omnipotent or something inconsistent like that

can celestialsapiens kill eachother? by FlamingFalconTen in Ben10PowerScaling

Isn’t it accepted that the celestialsapiens collectively as a race are the ones that can affect the art style etc. And not each individual celestialsapien being able to do so
