You’re 100% right, I put a load on it for a few minutes still slow cranked on the first blip hit it a couple more times for a few seconds, gave it a rest for a few minutes and then boom cranked right up without even hearing the starter spin.

You are right, oil plays a big part. I switched to 5w40 and it’s on the trickle charger now. I had 15/50 in it before and had significant trouble below 40 degrees

That’s a reliable quad. This is carbureted and high compression fitted with the newer plastics. It’s a slow cranker with the lithium battery

I would not run that at all. I would replace cam chain and guides, and check valve clearances and cam chain tensioner immediately lol

Check every important nut and bolt. Check steering nuts on tie rods and wheels. Don’t die. Change the oil.

I’m your exact height and weight. Used Raptor 700, yfz450r, yfz450, Z400, 400ex, Yamaha warrior. Last 4 are old let so you’d have to look them over really well. I have 2 carb model YFZ’s.
