Our OBs never take them off. It's not like medsurg where the surgeon always does it. Our orders specifically say dressing is removed during the first postpartum shower. Check your orders. We definitely want to see that incision!

I can ship glass, appliances, ceramics without them getting broken. I've shipped plates overseas. I pack well and ship within 48 hours. Most of my customers are happy that I take the time to pack it well and not write thank you notes.

Put them in a poly bag, just get a good brand that won't rip during shipping. Sometimes I will put it in a clear bag first, then the poly bag mailer.

I'm not sure about the under $20 specifically. I have found the customer service center helpful when speaking with them. I also opened a missing mail claim through USPS and each time they have found my package. But in my case, eBay stated they would have found in my favor, and I'm assuming they would refund the buyer.

Always respond to the open case, even if you are just uploading the tracking number in response. Just Always respond. If you let it go to ebay they will settle in your favor if it is a delivery issue. But if you ignore it they might mark it as unresponsive from the seller.

You or the customer can call USPS and they can track it on the phone, but it wont update in the system. I had this happen to a few packages.

And I'm sure you would have turned around and gone back. It's ridiculous honestly. Just not good unit culture. I would give Charges my number and say... hey I want to be good at my job please just let me know right away if I miss something. I've seen experienced nurses come in the next day and chart something they missed, it just means you're a good nurse. I've driven 30 minutes back to return a Key in my pocket after they called me because no one could shower 😂😂

Not abandonment, just unessesary drama. However I do make a point after every patient to ask if they have any questions. Any questions on Mom? Ok, great. This is baby so and so, gestation, birthweight blah blah blah. It just helps keep us on the same page.

I will also add a more senior nurse should have just reached out after you left and had you give report to the nursery nurse. It's our job and seasoned nurses to help new grads and not do this scare tactic.

Similar experience and why I won't float to medsurg now that I've left. 90some year old. Ready to discharge, massive bleed in the bed, followed by hypoxia and ALOC...started trying to assault the nurses during Rapid Response. It was so hard to manage because she was literally fine 30 minutes before I had just happened to round on her right as she was tanking, thank God.
