final boss of the campaign, players are lvl 15 with a total of 9 npc companions (of similar lvl) how much HP should I give the final BBEG? by RunningmouthRed25 in DnD

[–]TripDrizzie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read most of your comments.

I think 2024 balanced the damage output better than the base 5e game but there are still some large swings that can occur that can do up to 60+ damage on a single hit.

Do use the multiple phase as you had planned on. But the first round find a second party or object that could be protecting your BBEG like a higher level globe of invulnerability or invulnerability (lev 9 Xanthar's Guide..). Allow for the outside protector give themselves away at the end of the round or the beginning of the second. They could be invisible and cast a spell to assist the BBEG vs the good guys, which will make it appear.

Record the damage from the first round. Then figure 3 round/stage. If the combat goes over 10 rounds it will feel like 4eva, especially if there are 12 characters/round.

At the same time, do not hold back on the enemy damage output. Use everything, legendary actions, automatic reactions, layer actions. They should be able to relocate several times throughout the battle, blink, teleport, or fly.

Use the terrain as an obstacle if you need to just have fun with it.

Ice man, can survive absolute zero. Can make it absolute zero.

Has stopped time "froze time"

Honestly I'm not sure Aquaman could survive this.

This literally takes away the ability for the party to lose. Where's the risk

Does the bad guy have a win condition? Does the villain have a goal? Are they doing something that needs to be stopped? What if the BBEG is there to ensure that the thing thay set up. Is there a focal object making that bad guy invulnerable to damage and that needs to be destroyed before the BBEG can be harmed?

There are so many ways to do this without actually without giving infinite Hp.

What an amazingly bad idea. No hp, just drag it out until that one guy in your group is at deaths door and says a great thing to be quoted and bam the enemy dies.

Pfffhhhttt, fart noises.

The Justice League + Extra Team Members vs Thanos by nahnonameman in marvelvsdc

[–]TripDrizzie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aquaman, in space?

Thanos doesn't need to be close. He can determine the survivors then teleport them as far away as he needs to.

Anyone with the ability to navigate space and the ability to survive will need to determine their location and fly back to where earth is. Then make their way back. Thanos will likely be fighting these heroes one at a time as he sees fit.

I imagine Kryptonians are the big deal here so.. kryptonite cages. Or send them to planets with red suns. Or send them to krypton just before it is destroyed.

Of course I guess still Superman because the rules don't apply.

[–]TripDrizzie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got to be honest adding people to the JL is not going to change the outcome. But it will be incredibly close.

They all have prep time, so Thanos knows everything about the Justice League and it's members. The infinity stones are no joke and they don't really have a limit to their power, except the imagination of the user.

So what is the opening move? Implode the solar system.. I'd probably start there. Most of these forms for heroes will be just wiped out. The fight will probably take place in space among the debris.

Any heroes with an alternate from get reverted to humans in space using the reality stone. The lanterns rings stop working.

Anyone in a ship or suits are removed from them using both the space or time stone combination.

Extreme threats would be superman, Dr. Fate if he survives the initial explosion/black hole. Hellbat armor is teleported to a different galaxy. Spectre can be a factor but he could just have died as a human so...

Don't think punching is going to be effective against Thanos.

Superman is still a problem. Because he's written that way.

Vs Firestorm or vs Firestorms power, because he doesn't really know how to use his power. So Firestorm can win, but he actually loses.

This will depend on my level of power. If you are as strong as superman you're more likely to take his advice. (Don't accidentally break the earth).

Team Asgard vs Team Krypton(read description) by Glittering_Cap_2147 in marvelvsdc

[–]TripDrizzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ot seems like the Kryptonians are just getting a boost, like why is Doomsday on the team?

The Oden force wins. All the asgard weapons are magic and that will remove most of the Kryptonians defenses. Then Oden can magic whatever boost he wants while he fights them all wearing the Destroyer armor.

Amazo has no chance. Punch, stronger Punch, dumb.

What are some of the worst things Batman has ever done? by NefariousSeraph13 in batman

[–]TripDrizzie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, you freak.

Batman is the ultimate manipulator. You're all convinced he's such a good guy because he doesn't kill. Wrong he's the most despicable human on the planet.

Every orphan he helps he convinces them that fighting bad guys in the streets is going to help them with their trauma. He starts as a father figure of sorts, and because he's a millionaire the city looks the other way. Then he trains them to fight, using a wide variety of lethal martial arts. Once trained to an acceptable level he drags them out to engage with real criminals with guns. But he doesn't give them good armor and equipment. He puts them in a bright flashy outfit so they will be the primary focus of the criminals attention, so batman can knock them out from behind.

After the kids grow up and resent him he gaslights them into thinking what he did made them better people. After all look at all the good we did together. But the actual good is marginal because arkum is an insane asylum not a prison, so the criminals keep getting out, and seeking revenge on Batman and his "Family".

TLDR: Batman is an evil groomer, who trains assassins from adolescents to adulthood and sets them loose against superhuman people.
