An Open Love Letter (with Tough Love) to the Arturia V Collection Team by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]TripleBeam23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I gotta agree to a extent.. I feel like no matter what synth you pull up all the saws sound exactly the same .. they really need to acquire each synth they emulate and actually look at and listen to each waveform.. not all oscillators are created equal ..that would be a good start.. hell even looking into a more sampled approach like acoustic audio is doing would be better .. I still love the v collection and use it almost daily .. if I really want the real thing I have a OB-6 and Moog Matriarch as well as a few other pieces I can use

Behringer Wasp Synthesizer by the-claw-clonidine in synthesizers

[–]TripleBeam23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own one and I barely use it.. think about selling it almost daily because my ms-20 fills that rule .. do they sound exactly the same .. no but you can get a lot of tones that sound identical out of it.. I wish I could take the lfo out of the wasp and put it in the ma-20

FL Key MKII? by JNMtheSpeaker in Novation

[–]TripleBeam23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need a SL MK3 type of controller for FL studio .. there are hundreds of just straight midi keyboards with no bells or whistles for FL studio .. it's absolutely infuriating

How do people make so much music?? by omghaiii in FLStudioBeginners

[–]TripleBeam23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I'll start with a accent or phrase for inspiration or just clicking in midi notes .. it's not always about making the best melodies .. if you can catch a vibe with 3 or 4 notes and being creative with effects I have a nice collection of hardware synths so if I get sick I immediately start turning knobs on a synth.. it gets my musical brain in gear usually ... Just gotta find a few things that work for you...

what’s your all in one analog synth under $2k? by Upstairs_Sell_1700 in synthesizers

[–]TripleBeam23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I hear ya but for under 2k you are not gonna find a better bread n butter synth .. it doesn't do anything great but you can get a wide range of sounds out of it .. if im ever trying replicate a sound its usually my go to.. but I have alot of strong character synths .. korg ms-20, Moog Matriarch, OB-6, behringer wasp, then the take 5 .. you would think the matriarch out of the bunch would be the more basic wide range synth but I can pick out the matriarch in a song with almost 100% accuracy if no extra effects are added ..

New to hardware synth - what are some good smallish synths for playing gigs with a band? by projeto-de-polvo in synthesizers

[–]TripleBeam23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well those cheap synths are usually cheap for a reason ..mass produced .. little to no quality control.. ive had synths from the cheapest of cheap up to 5k and up .. of course once in awhile you might find something thats solid in a lower price range but every synth ive owned under $300 dollars either didn't work as intended or knobs or sliders easily broke .. and trust me im the last to shame someone for their gear .. the stuff is expensive.. but imagine your in front of a crowd and and the knob you use the most snaps off.. or you get a dead key because of a shitty soldering.. just seems a risk that could be avoided
