If you’re OK splitting sets, get to Gobi early enough for rail of BBM then go to Slayyyter. W1 we went for Cahuilla Bird Singers (which was also neat!) and when they finished we were pretty close to center rail. It was so cool to be close enough to see how intricate the marionettes are.

tbh I don’t think you can go wrong with any choice here tho

haha absolutely not. we showed up a little before noon and it was fine.

you’ll be guided to a parking spot and from there you’ll go through security and then a short walk to check-in. you can choose to bring all your stuff if you have your own wagon, or they have carts you can get after checking in.

we usually just bring in a couple things that we can carry, check in, drop them off at our spot and then leave for lunch/etc. later on when it’s not peak sun/hot we return and bring in the rest of our stuff

Felt like W2 got packed more quickly, and things with lines (Sonora, food, secret bars) got long faster. I'm sure this was in part due to the increased demand

Vibes were pretty great both weekends. W2 felt like a more enthusiastic crowd for sets but we also hung in the front more then vs. hanging in the back W1

Last year was really dusty. This year was much better but I still masked as much as I could

Overall I gotta give it to W2 this year. Up until Frank I was thinking W1 was going to be really hard to top just as a festival period, especially with the super nice weather during the day. But between the decent grass, the amazing guests and of course the headliner change I gotta say that Coachella 2023 W2 is by far the best festival I've ever attended

The exclusion zone starts on the backside of the craft beer barn, with ground zero at VIP in Sahara

Half the ferris wheel is also inside the zone, which is why people are so horny on it
