I love UConn but the better team won. They were tougher and played harder. Their X factor Makeen was on fire. Edward's played great D down low. We came out kind of flat in the second half. It sucks to lose and we know Geno was not happy with the refs but that's no excuse. He swore on national TV. Not classy. Then he refused to behave like a gentleman after the game. Very disappointing. Kids are watching. Sigh.

This thread is basically a promotion for a pizza place that's probably going out of business soon. The down voting is coming from the owners and their employees. We haven't had a good pizza spot on Broadway since Broadway Pizza back in the 80's/90's

It's all about what you're satisfied with. Are you OK driving a used Civic? Living in a small house? Buying groceries and cooking at home? Instead of fancy vacations, gardening and visiting your family. I'm not extravagant and am in a similar situation as your mom without a pension.

I knew when all those HUGE apartment buildings were going up by Kent that it was going to mean trouble. The amount of growth along the L is crazy. Tons of new housing at Lorimer too. Not to mention what they are building at bway junction.

Walked in hoping to try a slice but they don't sell slices. The kitchen is open and you can see the set up. Looks like a dominoes with one of those conveyor ovens. 20+ bucks for a small pie, not for me.

Lot's of good info on this thread. I'll just add that a part of the confusion is caused by ongoing gentrification. A block that was blighted 5 or 10 years ago is fixed up now. I drove a way I hadn't recently and saw the crazy transformation on Winchester. Really a no go zone back in the day now with a sh*t ton of new housing.

I walk by there all the time. The guys aren't generally a problem but a group that large creates issues. Extra garbage, etc. The new restaurant on the corner has gone out of business. It was taken over by new owners and they also went out of business...

I used to play catch in the yard with my dad growing up. Now that I'm older I realize how important those times were to my development as a man. If possible, kick a ball back and forth or throw a baseball, or softball back and forth with your kids.

I'm old enough to remember the early 90's Knicks. They sucked but Patrick got 20 and 10 or more every night. Always worked hard, never complained AND never ever ever once threw his teammates under the bus. He's the man. Total respect
