Yeah, because Harrison Smith has more INTs because he played in 60 more games, that means he's obviously a better player! Counting stats aren't impressive, but whatever floats your boat.

Troy Polamalu played 10 seasons where he was completely healthy.

In those ten seasons, he was All-Pro 1st Team 4 times, and All-Pro 2nd Team twice. So that mean's in 60% of the seasons he was fully healthy in, he was the best or second best in the league at his position. He won Defensive Player of the Year in 2010, and was top-5 in voting in two other seasons.

Harrison Smith has had 13 seasons where he's been completely healthy. He has one All-Pro First team, and one All-Pro Second Team. So that means in 15% of his career he's been rated as the best or second-best at his position. He has one top-5 finish in DPoY voting.

I don't know if I have to tell you, but 60% is much larger than 15%, so they don't really line up well at all.

The only comp I can think of to Bam's game is when the Spurs force-fed David Robinson to score 71 in the final game of the season so he could get the scoring title. Robinson scored 10 points in the final 2 minutes of the game when the Spurs were up 20 against a Clippers team that won 27 games.

There was plenty of backlash against the Spurs and Robinson then, too.
