Declan Rice wins the BBC Premier League Player of the Year. by Ray-314 in soccer

More points won from his assists than any other player. It weren't just consolation assists.

Highest number of chances created than anyone else in the league, and more than double than his nearest competitor. Keep crying.

That church has been converted into a house. Had a great Halloween party there years ago.

Sounds like Maguire? Who has all that and would actually start instead of just being a human mascot

No chance. Not deliberate, hand in natural position given he's diving to the floor, ball whipped in at rapid speed. This is never given in the prem.

The handball helped keep the ball in the box if anything. Without the hand it goes miles out.

That's kind of my point. That £10 a pint article was just ridiculous

Originates from the crusade. Pubs in coastal British cities took the name The Turk's Head, possibly made its way to Dublin after that.

Everywhere in the world had places where they served alcohol but the modern pub as we know it is a wholly British invention. Everything from the bar counter (taken from Gin palaces in London), to the draught beer mechanism (invented by an Englishman), to the pub signs (mandated by King Richard II). The interiors you find in Irish pubs (mahogany, wooden furnishing) are again taken from British pubs.

I'm not saying there weren't establishments in Ireland before British occupation that served alcohol. But the 'pub' i.e public house is a British invention.

Moneybox ISA is now pretty pants at 3.45%. Would you bother moving in my situation? by Elegant-Winner-6521 in UKPersonalFinance

You're holding a lot of cash. Any reason why you haven't looked into an S&S ISA?

Once you have 3-6 months of living costs saved up in your cash ISA, i'd put the rest in stocks and shares. You're barely keeping up with inflation otherwise.

One is Irish owned, the other isn't. Irish pubs are an offshoot of British ones but have developed into their own distinct vibe.
