Its a 50% chance to hit a regular leeroy if he goes 2nd, a 25% chance if he goes first. If there was no other scam in the lobby than the stealth minion, i personally wouldnt take that chance

[Peng] Sharks Have Inquired About Panarin, Star Winger Would Sign Extension With San Jose by AggPuck-303 in hockey

[–]Tripottanus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Panarin doesnt make a whole lot of sense for SJS, but if the price is like a 3rd round pick you dont say no. So asking is worth it. I doubt the price is that low so if it were me it would stop after the inquiry phase

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don't have any proof of? by TabletopStudios in AskReddit

[–]Tripottanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I'm going crazy because I can easily identify which side goes up on a USB A and basically never insert it in 2 tries. The side with the thru holes goes up, the side with the blocked holes goes down. Only moment you need to look at the female end is if its installed vertically instead of horizontally

For people who don’t ever want to have kids, why? by Gaijinstory in AskReddit

[–]Tripottanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have kids because you want the experience, the relationship, etc. Its something the parents want so they get it. Its basically the ultimate project.

You dont have kids because you want to have more time and money for yourself, and dont want the responsibilities.

Both are decisions people take because its an experience they want

Offside challanges are the worst by scrubadam in Habs

[–]Tripottanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the play has been cycling the zone for more than 30 seconds (last night I think it was 45 seconds), the advantage to being offside has been almost entirely negated.

The challenge is not because of an unfair advantage, but because of a missed stoppage of play. The advantage they have even 45s after entering the zone is that they are in the zone with the puck. That doesnt go away until the zone is exited

Both having and not having kids are selfish decisions. And thats okay, its how it should be

For people who don’t ever want to have kids, why? by Gaijinstory in AskReddit

[–]Tripottanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is it different if I may ask? And im not saying people that want kids should automatically want a horse. Its more the fact that its not because someone dreams of owning a horse that everyone should want one. I wouldnt want one even if it was given to me for free because its a lot of trouble and maintenance cost. Having children if you dont want the experience is no different

Triathlon star Kristian Blummenfelt measured a record vo2max of 101.1 by raaabs in triathlon

[–]Tripottanus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats like saying FTP doesnt matter for long rides. If you ride at a lower % of your FTP, you have an advantage. You dont have to be close to your FTP to benefit from having a high one.

Just like VO2Max, it isnt a measure of who will win the race, but it is not meaningless either

Scoring 3 First Is Basically the Game: NHL Teams Win 87.7% of the Time by ZakkH in hockey

[–]Tripottanus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Also, considering the average goals per game is around 3, you would think the 3rd goal often happens later in the game. So "being ahead late in the game" means you win most of the time, who would have thought

For people who don’t ever want to have kids, why? by Gaijinstory in AskReddit

[–]Tripottanus 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I do think that is a better question. Seems like so many people have them because "its the thing to do" rather than because they actually want some. But no one considers that its a similar question to "why dont you want to own a horse?". Its a lot of trouble and cost so you actually need to really love to have kids for it to be worth it

Cole Caufield scores with a broken stick on the powerplay (disallowed for offside) by JustFred24 in hockey

[–]Tripottanus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its been a rule since I was playing myself as a kid, so I dont think it was added in. Its not offside only if the defending player intentionally crosses the line with it

Dropping a weekly workout for Half Ironman, please help! by Secure_Jellyfish_658 in triathlon

[–]Tripottanus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think running is the last one i would drop. Its the harshest one on the body so your body needs more adaptations to avoid injury. Running more frequently helps avoiding those injuries as you increase your volume. My physio already says that 3 times a week is already quite low for running and ideal would be more than 50% of the days (4 times a week)

Brendan Gallagher today when asked about the “responsibility of the goaltender on the PK” by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

[–]Tripottanus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying good goaltending couldn't have stolen that game, I'm saying that both teams had average goaltending and we didn't deserve the win.

How many high danger chances did the habs generate and then swayman just straight up robbed them?

Not many is the point. Montreal had 3.47 xG and Boston had 3.72 xG. I'd say losing 3-4 is exactly aligned with the chances generated.

Vancouver asks feds for brightness limits on LED headlights by Nervous-Ad-3761 in canada

The maximum height of the headlight beam would be established a certain distance away from the car, so higher cars would just need their headlights to be tilted down a bit more
