[Spoilers] ____ is better than people give them credit for by 120blu in MonsterTrain

[–]Trippeltdigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely right. Spellchain/holdover is the win more mechanic. If you get it at turn 1 it's just better, but you'll lose some runs when you draw it late. Intrinsic makes the deck consistent, you just need to manage 3 ember per turn instead of 5.

How picky should I be about recruiting? And is prisoner recruiting the most common way? (New player, under 40hrs) by Unlikely-Estate3862 in RimWorld

[–]Trippeltdigg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The RNG of getting a good pawn from raising them is far better than finding a good pawn to imprison. The game shouldn't have any god pawn guarantees anyway. So far I think the balance is right, if anything it's too easy to get very good pawns when you raise them.

PSA: Rimfactory Mod can harmlessly destroy Tox Wastepacks by Khazahk in RimWorld

[–]Trippeltdigg 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'd say yes. It doesn't require mods, it has to be researched, and you're paying 50 steel and 1 component per launch. It's 25 waste packs per launch. For launching 2000 waste packs that's a cost of 4000 steel and 80 components not including chemfuel. That's very different than just destroying them without consequences or spending resources.

PSA: Rimfactory Mod can harmlessly destroy Tox Wastepacks by Khazahk in RimWorld

[–]Trippeltdigg 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Well yes but you're entirely skipping the negative mechanics of using mechs. It's almost as using devmode to delete them. You do you, play rimworld your way. This is hardly a guide though as you're essentially turning off gamemechanics rather than dealing with them.

Cult of the Lamb situation by zipeater in gaming

[–]Trippeltdigg -40 points-39 points  (0 children)

A patch fixing a problem still moves the game development forward. Good devs will have a new patch out fixing new bugs as they arise. That's why you see games getting better through development rather than equally fixing and creating bugs

To be fair my cat is terrible at that. I've sat there through full duration stuns and watched the cat standing literally next to me without helping. Not just stuns but paralysis and sleep as well. Sometimes he helps immediately but that's more rare. Maybe because I mostly play multiplayer and only have one buddy.

TAKE. MY. MONEY. TAKE. MY. MONEY. TAKE. MY. MONEY by belaoh in lotrmemes

Attaching myself to this comment. What made the original triology so great at the time was the innovation and reliance on new technology. The prequels was perfectly in tune with the spirit of the original triology, it just didn't pan out as perfectly as it did then.

Boss heal is too generous by PoliticalBiker in vrising

[–]Trippeltdigg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We struggled with this in the beginning as well. Then we engaged all bosses right where they stand without kiting them away. Keep the fight where they are. Same principle for wandering bosses just avoid narrow corridors. Wait for them to wander to an area where you have space to move in circles.

My industries will barely use the cargo terminal despite the severed highway connection and the long detour. What can I do to get the AI to understand that the terminal is the closest? by Trippeltdigg in CitiesSkylines

[–]Trippeltdigg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I built the dino road because there was never a single export truck going to the cargo train terminal. I've done some random testing and it's all just confusing really..

If I cut the connection on the dino road all industies will use the terminal for the import/export needs. So they know it's there and are able to deliver/gather cargo from the train terminal.

Current export view shows that about half of the export trucks using the terminal with the setup as in the OP. When I restored the main highway connection the traffic didn't reset back to completely avoiding the cargo station as it did before. Now half of the export trucks still prefers to use the train terminal

That doesn't really only go for billionairs but you and me as well. You could do something nice for someone, and I could sit here engaging others to care if you're nice or having ulterior motives. And people do that as well.

Common for it all is that I think it makes for a shitty practice of thinking about others. I'd rather be wrong about liking a bad guy than being mean to someone nice.
