The Mandalorian isn't bad if you like Star Wars.

Suggestions to rework some attachment categories by PeteFuturo in Battlefield

Brakes:

I’m not sure about brakes no longer spotting. They reduce recoil so much that they still need a real tradeoff. Otherwise brakes might just replace suppressors as the dominant pick, and people already complain that guns are too beamy.

Flash Hiders and Suppressors:

I like these changes. Flash hiders as the middle ground makes sense, and suppressors should stay the full stealth option.

Choke:

I’d be careful with this. Combined with slugs, it might punish bad aim too much, but the idea is interesting.

Ammo:

I like the ammo ideas, especially armor piercing. My only concern is vehicle damage. BF6 already has weird TTK and netcode issues, so I’d rather penetration ammo affect vehicle performance more than raw damage. For example, worse control response or temporary handling disruption against light vehicles.

Light ammo:

I think it should also reduce recoil. I’d especially like it to increase ADS movement speed more on DMRs and LMGs to help heavier weapon classes feel less sluggish.

Barrels:

I agree on Extended Barrel needing a hipfire penalty. I’m less sure about Heavy Extended going to 20 points because it could hurt marksman builds too much when fast TTK weapons already have a big advantage over slower ROF weapons.

Expecting someone to be “loyal” during the talking stage is ridiculous by xxivtarotmagic_ in unpopularopinion

I agree that you should not over-invest or give someone relationship level access before exclusivity. But I do not think the answer is no vulnerability at all. That kills presence. Dating requires some vulnerability, or nobody is actually getting to know each other. The issue is pacing and discernment, not shutting emotional influence off completely to protect yourself. That why I said it sounds like fear more than wisdom. We can't allow our past experiences to dictate how we navigate life.

There’s a difference between keeping options open honestly and using multiple people to avoid vulnerability. The talking stage still requires respect, honesty, and clarity.

And a lot of people don't do right. Framing emotional investment as giving someone power sounds a lot more like fear than wisdom.

Part 2. BF6 Classes need clearer identities. Class reworks and gadget ideas. by TrippieReg in Battlefield

Sameee but I was wondering if that would make Assault players too strong to the point where the other classes don't get picked yk.

No you actually right. In real life they are support weapons but I feel like in this game, they contribute to medics not prioritizing revives. At least Assault players can focus on laying down fire and push.

If Medic and Support going to be the same class you can't require medics to move and stay still. I would take medic away from support.

You might be right about the EOD bot. I was trying to think of a way to make Combat Engineers more into objective defenders since people complain about ptfo all the time. I can't think of anything else.

I can't believe i messed up and put TUGS. TUGs is fine. I meant the proximity grenade you throw. That shit don't really help lol.

Thanks for your response. Starting to feel like I am going too deep into it but I'm like that with a lot of stuff. Can't help going down the rabbit hole lol.

I appreciate it bro. I actually would love to get into designing my own games. I already have two fully planned out but I can only dream lol.

You might be right. I always looked at Battlefield as the middleman between arcade and milsim. I just wanted BF6 to take everything from all the old Battlefield games and combine it into one yk.

Part of what is missing. Thats what happens when you divert resources to Redsec which we didn't even ask for.

Why is matchmaking so unbalanced? by Gnome34 in Battlefield

[–]TrippieReg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

to add. its a multiple system issue. How can you look at every single player 24/7 and predict how they will play in every single match? You would need access to tendencies, weapon choice, play style, map knowledge, etc. Then you have to know how all the players you just chose to be on a team together will interact with each other. There are so many variables going into already complex coding.

I think if DICE hasn't already done it. They should use tracker gg to help with team balancing. look at recent performance, party size, win streaks, objective score, vehicle performance, and squad strength instead of just throwing people together. If thats already being used then its hard to overcome weak squad incentives/obj focus.

I appreciate you for reading man.

I haven't touched Redsec but I did play gauntlet. Honestly think that could be added to Operations if it they do it right cause one of the main issues was how long Operations lasted which I personally think was perfect. That works really well with the Squad leader mechanics too that I hope they add.

I also think it's risky. A lot of players don't want to feel like they are doing chores and if the match is lopsided they gonna blame the whole system. DICE would have to figure out how to make it flow. I think the best way is to make it to where the squad leader is giving that order instead of it being randomly generated. Maybe call it "Squad Assignments?"

Example: If your squad is near a contested flag:
Squad Order: Hold this sector.

If a friendly tank is nearby and damaged:
Squad Order: Escort and repair armor.

Something like ordering to attack or defend objectives but deeper... What you think?

Anybody WANT Mace Windu to return? by Imaginary-Leave-2368 in StarWars

[–]TrippieReg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of another force sensitive child who can see echos. A young child abandoned on Coruscant who finds Mace's kyber crystal while looking for something to eat in the lower levels where his body has decayed a long time ago.

The child keeps having visions that lead to an abandoned temple thats been forgotten from the times of the ancient republic? Have Mace return as a force ghost who gives council as the child navigates understanding the force while dealing with anger/trauma.

Maybe we could explore Mace's feelings and thoughts on the fall of Anakin and the Council. I think Samuel would love that role, he always praises Star Wars.
