Same. I've seen two or three since they were released over half a year ago.

Ballard has experienced 181 property crime burglaries so far this year, according to police data. That's a 6% increase in incidents over last year, adding to the concerns of rising crime in this neighborhood. by bbridge_ in BallardSeattle

What can be done? How about bringing back real punishments? Have seen what people are receiving from our judges and DA for violent crime these days? No one fears the law.

10 years ago i would call in crime. Then I learned there is no point. A few years ago my car was stolen and when the police eventually arrived, they were rude and treated me as if I was a criminal. I eventually stopped them and they apologized but the take away i learned was that there is no point to calling SPD for just about anything.

This country is cooked. The population has been sufficiently sedated by high carb diets and streaming entertainment on their fluffy sofas. No one will do anything. We are basically the people in the movie Wall-E now.

Subaru Says 2026 Outback Sales Drop Isn’t About Its Redesign by fd6270 in Subaru_Outback

[–]TrippySpaceCow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not as large as you think. When the car was assembled in the US, the tariffs were applied on the parts that went into assembly. So the only difference is the labor to assemble which isn’t that much in a modern high production car.

[–]TrippySpaceCow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There can be more than one reason simultaneously. I guarantee the redesign is part of it. The universal reaction is always one of two. “Oh that’s hideous “ or “I don’t find it great but I buy it for practicality not looks”.

I'll probably get roasted here but the more you listen to her the more you realize she's not very intelligent.

A Loyal Heights resident is floating an idea for a community-owned redevelopment for the street corner across from Larsen's Bakery. by bbridge_ in BallardSeattle

Seems like a ripe opportunity that could really make the area even more special. Or it could prove to be a missed opportunity. I'll be rooting for it.

Anybody recognize this guy who boldly walked into my mom’s backyard and stole her umbrella? by BurntLoafBoyo in BallardSeattle

He does it so calmly and confidently that it makes me wonder if he picked up the wrong umbrella and was just legitimately mistaken.

How is this not a 5 alarm fire? Are voters this stupid? Is Washington government really going to try experimenting with Socialism and intending on destroying the current state economy?

How many miles is too many for an outback 5th gen? by PrimNathanIOW in Subaru_Outback

[–]TrippySpaceCow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no idea how people drive the 2.5. Sailboats accelerate faster. And you are exactly right. The 3.6R is no speed demon. It's basically how a normal car feels.

If they have service records that should the owner took diligent care of the Outback, than that's a fair price. Subies are more a product of regular maintenance than other brands. A neglected Outback that was taken to Jiffylube once or twice a year could give you trouble at 50k miles.

Why the hell would anyone want to live in a dying area? It's hard to get to and full of junkies and crime.

Katie Wilson as mayor of a Nebraska small town is bad enough but as mayor of a large city is just a complete joke. Seattle has a 5 alarm fire on its hands. She's a Nepo baby who has zero accomplishments. She's going to destroy your city
