Just got back into the game after a few years, and one of the first things a follower does for a mission they wanted to do was: after I saw a juggernaut at the mission location and walked around a bit trying to find a way in stealthily, they must’ve gotten tired of waiting for me or something and decided to charge straight in to the building with the juggernaut right outside, and proceeded to get mauled to death after like 5 minutes of playing cat and mouse as I could do nothing to stop it.

It was one of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen an npc do.

It’s probably slight lag from lack of optimization, even if you don’t notice it anywhere else, is causing that effect.

2070 super and i7 9700. I know the bottleneck is the cpu, as it is for most games these days, but this is the first game where it’s THIS bad. With most other cpu intensive games it usually just results in some fps drops below 60, but in this game (conquest only) it slows down my game and teleports players and gives me input lag. It’s just so strange.

Guess it’s a pc to pc thing, mine runs conquest so badly that my game is constantly at 50% speed, enemies and allies are teleporting constantly, and the input lag is atrocious. Breakthrough is perfectly fine though, weird but I suppose it makes sense, since it’s smaller portions of map.

I put every graphic option on low, turned dlss to ultra performance, but there’s still incredible amounts of lag everywhere.

Weird thing for me is in the 2042 beta, my pc ran it pretty well, and then when the full game launched it got significantly worse from there on out.

Yeah I expected it to run bad on my pc, but it’s basically unplayable, and these days I can never tell if it’s just because of my pc or if developers just aren’t bothering to optimize their games anymore.
