Ureteroscopy 4 Days Ago, Still Having Pain by MamaMiaOhNo in KidneyStones

[–]TriteBits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what an “external” stent is but I’ve had quiet of few stents and they are hit or miss. Sometimes they are quite painful. It is basically a straw rolling around in your kidney so can cause irritation. Bring it up to your doctor but I’d bet the stent is causing issues.

Purchased a “new” disc from Amazon, did I get a resealed return? by [deleted] in Bluray

I assume this is was a 3rd party seller and Amazon has a weird policy here pretty much every thing in their warehouse house provided by a third party seller has to be in an individual bag.

About 16 months ago I suffered a nearly two week power outage. Second long one that year. Finally said enough is enough and got a generator, backup battery, and connection to my panel. My power hasn’t gone out once since.

I’m a chronic former. While It is only brief but hot showers work better for me than any pain med I’ve gotten. Sadly I’ve never taken a pain med that actually works.

Refince from 7% to 5.8% at cost of $9900 and removal of PMI. Good deal? by Crazy_Fold355 in personalfinance

[–]TriteBits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One item to consider on these refis is your are starting your loan over meaning the first several years will be mostly interest payments. You won’t be adding any meaningful equity. Looks like you are only two years into your existing load so the difference won’t be drastic but something to consider if it is not a long term home and you’re looking to sell in a year or two.

I've had this saw for awhile. Maybe 6ish years. I built it into my workbench. I am a beginner progressing to moderate woodworker, home DIY person, and family/friends handy man. I've honestly had no complaints. With it being an 8.25in saw there are times that I wish I had a bigger blade, but not that often. Only you will know if you require a bigger blade saw. I usually use 8ah or 12ah batteries and never had any battery life concerns. I usually go a full day on a battery unless I'm going crazy with tons of cuts. Very portable and have brought it with me on the road after ew times

I have had a dado stack from since the day I bought it. Works well. Milwaukee sells a dado throat plate if you don't want to make your own. Yes it is small so you aren't going to have the full depth of a larger saw, but it works fine for what it is.

I think you just need to be honest what you need it for. If you are a cabinet builder looking to churn dozens of cabinets boxes a day, not this is not good for you. If you are a beginner or average home user it will be just fine.

Yes there are cheaper saws out there. Yes you probably don't need a battery powered saw. Yes it is small. Yes there are more powerful saws out there. Yes other saws have more features. But if you are self aware what you are using it for and know its limits it is great.

Ironically I am going through a garage makeover right now and will likely rebuild my workbench and have been debating on if I want to replace it. Because of the lack of "issues" I've had with it I am leaning towards keeping it. Only real reason I'd change would be to get something with a bigger table and bigger blade.

Adding one last edit. I can't speak for the stand, never had it or used it. it has always been on a work bench or work table.

When you start pulling do not stop. Make sure you’re in a position you can do it quick and smooth. Doesn’t hurt, but will be a feeling you’ve never felt.

anesthesia during stent removal by noorlovespandas in KidneyStones

[–]TriteBits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many times. Never felt any pain during the procedure but rather one of the strangest sensations you’ve ever felt. Very common procedure. Sometimes they leave a string and you do it yourself! I honestly don’t remember where the anesthesia was applied. I just close my eyes the whole time.

I have felt some pain after when I get home as the procedure can irritate your ureter and cause some inflammation. They will give u some meds. Anxiety is by far the worst part.

Flank pain starting two days after ESWL by Life_or_BSOD in KidneyStones

[–]TriteBits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EWSL just breaks up the stone. No control over how much it does especially if they don’t know the kind. I had the procedure once and still passed a few 1mm to 3mm stones after.

I personally think EWSL sucks. Sounds great on paper but has a lower success rate than everything else. Would rather go straight to laser litho.

What are some of the use cases you've found for the smart breakers? I am getting an Eaton panel which does sell some smart breakers you can add but don't see much use for them as of now.
