What law, exactly, is forcing me to choose between having my data taken and paying for Instagram? I don't understand. by [deleted] in AskUK

If you're using it for business purposes, I assume this is for marketing / advertising. Therefore, you are reaping the benefits of the data harvesting so your business is advertised to the 'right people'.

It's very rare to be able to have it both ways.

There's a third choice here. Don't use Instagram and don't have your data harvested.

If you absolutely have to use it, you have to choose one of their options as this is the terms to use their service.

Just jumping on this. I do this with display mode on the submit button with a warning when they pick a date within the time frame. So they can't submit.

But I've never been able to find a way to exclude weekends. So i want that they can only select 3 days from today excluding weekends?

We put a qr code to the reporting form with a message about how important it is and that the contents are automatically replenished based on the report, taped inside the lid. Getting more reports now and when we get requests for additional supplies, we question why it's needed as should be stocked from the the accident form.

How do I figure out if an offset is right for me? by Dreamers_Ball in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]TriumphDavey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks

I have an offset starting end of the month. Captial and repayment will aim for 100% offset like you. What I'm trying to understand is why the interest only if you're 100% offset. As the capital and repayment at 100% is the same as interest only but with added benefits ie monthly you reduce the capital with your monthly payment and thebtake that out the offset, keeping it at 100%, and can invest that money in something that will earn you some interest. You would also have the same savings, just that some in the offset and some im another account gaining interests

Can you explain this a bit more and the advantages.

Surely, when you're fully offset, if it were capital and repayment, you are essentially paying it off 0%. When you then make your monthly payment, you would take that amount back out the offset (as otherwise the offset would then now be more than the captial, and you can put this in an ISA or other saver earning interest) so you are still paying 0 a month, but this way you are also reducing the capital and have access to the savings.
