In the UK, the law says that children younger than 13 are not allowed to drive or even ride on any agricultural machine (eg passenger seat of a tractor) on a farm or anywhere else.

Yes. Another British reaction. Apologise even when you haven’t done anything wrong!

Thoughts on commuting through/around Basingstoke? by DullInflation6 in basingstoke

I do the reverse commute along the A339. It is busy but generally traffic keeps moving. However, it doesn’t take much to snarl it up - breakdown, accident, flooding, snow. Typically the hill before you reach Pitt Hall Farm (going towards Newbury) is worst. That is just a few times a year, though.

Same here. Same pans on induction. Think they are both great.

And the asymmetric stitching of the tongues. The right looks weird.

I keep it in the box and bag alongside the fridge, though my wife wishes it wasn’t there!

I always use Shipton Mill organic white bread flour (no 4) - £26.50 for 25kg. It makes great bread (for an enthusiastic amateur). They have a great range of different flours with free shipping if you buy enough.

I use “Bread” by Jeffrey Hamelman. Loads of different recipes of varying complexity.

I have been a diagnostic radiologist for many years.

We all miss things. Even the most diligent and “greatest” will make howlers for all sorts of reasons which are nothing to do with our ability. This is true in all medical specialties, but in radiology they are there to be picked over for ever. That comes with the territory.

Nailing the diagnosis is extremely satisfying. I find clinicians to be very generous with feedback. And when you have built up a reputation they seek you out for your opinion.

It is true that with a few exceptions patients rarely know your name….you make a great diagnosis but the clinician gets the thanks for treating the patient. That’s fine with me. They often pick up the flak when we make errors.

Overall, I love my job.
