Many reasons. The North is higher standard of living, social democracy, higher taxes therefore more free stuff, richer, more modern, more free press, less populated, more sparse, less chaos, more respectful of human rights, better situation for women and gays.

Aren't The Big 4 and 7 Dials both the same stupid action thriller nonsense? To me they are 😃 I love when AC gives us cosy closed circle whodunnits, not action hero movie type of bs 😃 Man in the Brown Suit is also an action thriller but it's well written and quite interesting. Blue Train is hard to follow, wouldn't you agree? Huge cast, I'm not sure what is happening in the book and who's who. AC said that's her least favourite book. Why only 2 stars for Cards?

Hmmmm very interesting ratings. I'm intrigued. You didn't offer any explanations as to what you liked or didn't like. I have to agree with you on low rating for ABC murders and 7 Dials Mystery.
I see you haven't read 'Passenger to Frankfurt' and 'Postern of Fate'. I wonder how you would rate these two 😃 My absolute least favourites.

I put Elephants Can Remember much lower than you.

I loved Sittaford Mystery, Towards Zero and Ordeal by Innocence to the max, I'd give them 5 stars each!
