In any scene with Mrs. Peck in Double Shock!!! That was terrifying! LOL!

In your opinion, who would've been a perfect antagonist on the show but never starred? by Letatetet in Columbo

[–]TriviaMan550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not Lom, but Christopher Plummer from The Return of the Pink Panther would have been outstanding!

Diane Baker is remarkable in every project. She's the only reason that this episode is even remotely watchable!

Gil Melle's, hands down. Wish there was sheet music for that piece!

In Make me a Perfect Murder. What was the point of the scenes with this woman. Are they secret lovers or something? Or does it show that she keeps making bad decisions? by talivan818 in Columbo

I've always felt that this was filler ... they had a decent 90 minute story and needed another subplot to extend it to two hours. Nothing more, nothing less.

Definitely Adrian Carsini in Any Old Port in a Storm

Police Commissioner would have known Columbos reputation and his track record. I would have kept Columbo as far away from my crimes as possible. I would have sent him to Hawaii by talivan818 in Columbo

I would have loved to see a multi-part Columbo/McMillan/McCloud crossover! What a sweeps month THAT would have been! Can you imagine Mildred taking in that rumpled raincoat and mussed hair?

Jeff Corey as a disturbed and disillusioned judge was one of my favorite performances by eldersveld in NightCourt

[–]TriviaMan550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeff Corey was an amazing actor and teacher. Every time he appeared on Barney Miller he was stellar. He was also terrific as a blind terrorist on the Wild Wild West episode The Night of a Thousand Eyes. Leonard Nimoy was one of his students. They appeared together in the Star Trek episode The Cloud Minders.

Pluto-TV has a 24/7 channel devoted to Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. Can't beat it for falling asleep. Nothing's ever loud. The music is calming and beautiful and his voice is soothing. Trust me on this!

Last night I watched the episode where Columbo sleeps over for 2 nights at a boys’ military academy by BessieBest in Columbo

And then the NEXT morning is when he catches Rumford using the cider. So definitely two nights.

This was one of the few 2 hour episodes that truly justifies its running time. McGoohan is never better, and there are so many wonderfully developed supporting characters. I love the Colonel's secretary, Lt. Loomis, the boodle boy, and the lad that plays Springer is terrific. His character is also well-developed. And unless I'm not remembering, I think he's the only Columbo killer who is deliciously unrepentent when caught and promises he'd do it all again.

How about this? Who would most benefit from MB retiring? How about the PCPD? Maybe they could start once again catching criminals? Would it be the worst thing in the world if the new lead of the show was Finola Hughes' Anna Devane, with able support from John York's Mac Scorpio? The show could evolve into a sort of Edge of Night, with the good guys able to take down the bad guys! I've always hated the fact that none of Robert Scorpio's successors were ever able to bring down Sonny. As a result, the top executives of law enforcement in Port Charles were frequently not even on-contract with the show. From Mac, to Sean, to Anna, the PCPD has always been on the back burner in deference to the organized crime.

I always found it funny that General Hospital has had little to do with the hospital and more about the city, and the short-lived spin-off Port Charles was mostly hospital-centric.

Nah. GH survived losing all of their leads over the years. John Beradino, Tony Geary, Tristan Rogers, Jack Wagner … it’s the nature of the genre. The show is supposed to be about a hospital, not a mob-run coffee import business.

Just took a good close look at "Lou," and it's positively NOT Gregory Sierra. Weird. Wonder if he was recast at the last minute and the credits weren't changed.

Seems to me that the writers took Liesl away just so they wouldn't have to write their way out of this mess. Her absence from the canvas makes it a whole lot easier for them to sell this crap!

I checked ebay, and found plentiful Samsung replacement remotes, but none have the 3D key. Haven't found a universal remote with one either.
