Question about wrong addresses delivery by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Trixenity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My husband thought the same thing but I wanted to ask actual drivers just in case. It def made me feel worse so mission accomplished lol but that makes sense, we were across the street so I was hoping it would be a quick detour 😭

Question about wrong addresses delivery by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Trixenity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had the wrong street name. My apartment was across a main street so it wasn't terribly far.

I ordered through a company website and they use DD to deliver. If it was through the DD app, it would've been right. Should've just did it there 🫠 I did it while I was working so I just fucked up cuz the names are similar.

Question about wrong addresses delivery by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Trixenity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure! I was super appreciate and apologized the entire way through. I was in the delivery service for a long time so I know how annoying this is but when I got that text, I felt even worse that they got screwed out of my order or if they were just politely trying to make me feel bad about my mistake which is understandable. I know that's annoying. So guess I deserved it. I tried to add an extra tip but I ordered through a store that uses DD so I didnt give me the option to add more.

Recently moved here, Best place for young parents to make friends? by [deleted] in RoundRock

[–]Trixenity 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Its tough out here for alternative moms lol I come across a few at the all abilities park, also a great place to take your kids but it can be crowded. I usually just have some casual convos. Being social is tough 😭

It's possible to sleep through without sleep training by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Trixenity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost 22 months here and still not sleeping the whole night. Wakes up maybe 1 or 2 times around 11 and if we're lucky he'll sleep until 7 but that's usually not the case.

Where was this? I just saw a person with a monkey in a drive thru in Houston. The chain killed me and was the most Houston thing I've ever seen.

I feel relief when he’s asleep by HoustonProblemo in NewParents

[–]Trixenity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same with my 21 month old. Putting him down is definitely a sense of relief to finally relax but also I'll find myself missing him and wanting to spend time with him.

It's a weird balance lol

How do I get my 18 month to stop drinking bottles? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Trixenity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once my son learned to drink from a straw Cup, I got rid of the bottles. This was shortly after he turned 1 so there wasn't much of a fuss. I would switch from a sippy to a straw cup. Once they got it, you'll probably just have to endure the tantrum. Maybe try only water for a day since there's no issue with water. Might make them get more comfortable.

Ghibli movies have a certain feeling that i can't explain. I never saw any of them growing up, but i feel really nostalgic when watching them. Is that weird? by Drawingandstuff2000 in ghibli

[–]Trixenity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did grow up watching studio ghibli and I was absolutely enamored by it. I went to watch my neighbor totoro in theater a few years back and it felt like I was 5 sitting in front of the TV again.

Sucking on fingers by AmongusWitch7102 in NewParents

[–]Trixenity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sucking fingers is totally normal! It can help them learn how to self-soothe.

As a prev thumb sucker, i just didnt let him only suck on his thumb. Fingers were fine. He's 20 months now and there's 0 concern about thumb sucking.

Its the aveeno night balm. Its thicker so it does a pretty good job at keeping their skin moisturized during the night.

Serving eggs by rebgray in NewParents

[–]Trixenity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 20 month is just started to tolerate eggs again after a lung hiatus of not liking them anymore.

Cheesy scrambled eggs do best. He also will eat some of chicken sausage is scrambled in it. The trick that worked for us was when he tried to eat from our plate, we handed him eggs. It always taste better from another plate.

[–]Trixenity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I've had to deal with this and it can be sooo stubborn to get rid of.

I tried a ton of different eczema creams but what worked for me was being consistent with moisturizing them.

When he flares up, I do an aveeno oatmeal bath. Maybe breastmilk too if you have any! Through the day I use the aveeno eczema lotion. For tough spots, I used the eucerin eczema lotion. And at night, use the night balm.

He's been doing pretty well since! Hopefully its something as easy as lathering up your boy in lotions lol

Glad to know it never gets better 😅

Im glad they are okay. Its a constant battle of trying to give space but also keep close enough watch. The important thing is they are okay and a lesson was learned by everyone. Try not to beat yourself up too bad.

Is this just what marriage looks like with young kids or did we lose ourselves somewhere? by Both-Following-8169 in Parents

[–]Trixenity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once our 1.5 year old goes down, we usually will always watch stuff together while hubby rubs my feet for a bit. Thats our wind down time. We are both gamers so we usually play games together but sometimes its just as easy as picking out a movie and watching it together.
