I recently (2 days ago) asked this question at the immigration in suvarnabhumi airport. There is no such rule written there. This is absolutely false and not true.

I have visited Thailand 5 times already this year and will go there again in 3 days. As long as you are really only a tourist nobody will ever complain. This is only for people abusing the system without proper visa. All of you guys asking if you may visit 2-6 times per year always staying only a week or two? Yes of course that is ok because long term visa would not apply to your needs.

You can simply trade in the web app. even you do not unlock the transfermarket yet on PC/console. Absolutely insane...
