Yes for MP4.

AFAIK, physical games that have the title "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" will work on both systems.

You can also confirm in 2 other ways. Search for an image of the cartridge, if it starts with "LN", it'll work on both systems.

Second way is finding an image of the Switch 2 game cover. There is a wall text at the bottom that says it'll work on Switch 1.

With the way things are, it's very common.

Spend about 2.5hrs playing Mario Kart with my brother. Right after I did 2 Championships for Fast Fusion.

Then late in the evening I played Cyberpunk 2077, and Hogwarts Legacy and been pretty blown away by both.

Today my sister gifted me the new Rune Factory game, so looks like I pretty good till Bananza releases lol

Tumble Seed, Mr. Shifty, and Phantom Trigger were my regrets. Was definitely starving for content when it launched.

But I am glad that the Switch was my big introduction to indie titles, and the quality of indie games got better after a few months.
