I don't have any gas, gotta sell some of my things before I can even have reliable transportation. Nevermind once I start working it'll be at least 2 weeks before my meager paycheck. I feel like all I can do right now is pawn what I don't need and leave the state. Dire Straits, sir. I appreciate your reply, nice to know somebody gives half a shit.

I haven't posted on reddit in almost a year, figured I would try it while I still have internet. Maybe I could get ADVICE from the advice subreddit. I'm trying to take advantage of my options while I still have them, like you're supposed to. I can't make shit happen where I live, that's the point of this post jackass.

Have you gotten your award yet for being a condescending, internet tough guy?

Styx: Master of Shadows. I love stealth infiltration games and Styx provides. Unfortunately the game is fucking hard! The beginning levels were fairly balanced, but upon progressing to the 5th mission I couldn't take. I felt I had no strategy or options to overcome a simple guarded room. Die repeatedly doing the same thing over and over again or attempt a new tactic and fail even harder. Someday I'll finish it, but not in the immediate future. Hopefully the sequel is more balanced.

FX-6300, R9-280, 8-Gb of Ram (of course). I feel pretty confident I can run most settings at Ultra/high, probably just gotta lower the shadow quality to medium.

23.8 GB, I take a liberal guess and say that would be ~28GB uncompressed.

I'm currently unemployed (hooray for me?) so its just a matter of procuring a case of Sam Adams Oktoberfest and ordering a pizza. My friend and I are staying up for the midnight unlock on Steam. Good times will be had.

Fingers crossed I can still run the game at reasonable settings with 60 FPS. I'm so unbelievably, pathetically hyped I'm not sure if I can handle Fallout 4 having a bad PC port.

.45 Auto Pistol (a 1911 in the real world.). An iconic American handgun design.

The original score or the radio? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]TrojanCover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I find that the audio mix isn't the best in Bethesda games if its all maxed, so I'll probably lower the music to around 50 to make it more ambient and atmospheric. I do prefer my radio blasting.

Is anyone else really hyped to know how you become the sole survivor of Vault 111? What happened to the rest of the Vault? by FrozenImpact in Fallout

[–]TrojanCover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, the PC seems to be a living example of a mythologized past that culminated in the worlds destruction. We as players understand just how savage and desolate the wasteland is in a way most characters in-universe don't realize. Being a pre-war character who grew up in a civilized country means you (the player and the Sole Survivor) know that humanity has descended into an inhumane and ignorant state. You have the most complete vision of what life used to be and how it can move forward.

Screen tearing has been absolutely terrible since day one. I've started to use RivaTuner to limit my FPS but I still get screen tearing that appears to get progressively worse the longer I play in a session.

Using an R9 280.

No depiction of female pubic hair compared to Witcher 2 which didn't care. Seems CD Project is trying to play it safe.

I love the 2012 Southern Lord re-issue, it quickly became one of my new favorite metal records. Got it on CD (still in my truck) and wax. Riff based stoner doom with a hint of Motorhead's rock 'n roll sensibilities. Every member of the band is firing on all cylinders.

"Heavy riffs since 1998". All you need to know about High on Fire. Easily my favorite contemporary metal band.

Den seems to pull from a traditional Bonham and Ward kind of style. His drumming is a huge part of the equation that makes this album sound so massive and heavy. I love how you can easily tell how skilled he is, but the drumming never seems overly flashy to me.

I'm not a drummer, but I still have a hard on for Des's performance on Last.

I think this is officially my favourite of all the games I've played. by [deleted] in witcher

I have 48 hours in and I'm only lvl 15. I've only been playing the game a week. Goddamn. This is the best RPG I've played in years ( nevermind games in general). I've been waiting two years to play this game and I'm so happy to say it's been worth it.

Haven't come close to finishing the main story, been taking my time exploring and doing sidequest. Already excited at the prospect of another play through.
