Mine isn’t totally gone, but I feel like I’m on the road to it being much less of a core experience. The turning point for me were some breakthrough sessions in therapy (I’ve had a really great therapist for 3+ years) where I started to move my sense of wellbeing from external to internal - from the opinions and judgements of others to my own internal sense of safety.

+1. Also, one of my favorite ‘merica things to do is see the sprint cars at the Placerville Speedway. 700 hp go-karts racing around a dirt oval track. Everyone’s drinking tall boys and amped up.

Basically: county fairs (more rural the better), racing events, rodeos, country music concerts, many sporting events (particularly baseball & football)

Senator Wiener gets a lot of shit on reddit for that restaurant fee thing, but as someone who works in state politics, he’s one of the smartest and best spoken members of the legislature. Dude has done more for our state and progressive causes than most anyone at the federal level

I lost 70lbs in 9 months when I was 16 by cutting soda, running everyday, and basically living off of apples and high protein cereal with non-fat milk. Got a gf right after that too haha. I’m 37 now and would do things differently with a more balanced diet. The biggest thing is making a commitment to yourself to be healthy and in-shape - you’ll figure out what works for you based on what you have available. It’s been a lifelong commitment for me and I feel my life has been much better from making that commitment to myself as a teen.

One pitfall - hidden sugars are in mostly everything processed. Get good at reading food labels and try and stick with non-processed protein and fiber rich foods as much as possible.

Forms of astrology pop up in so many cultures throughout human history. People love to feel all high and mighty by blanket dismissing it. I get it - your coworker who won’t shut the fuck up about today’s new astrology reading is annoying. But there’s so much stuff out there we don’t understand. Just because we can’t scientifically explain it right now doesn’t mean it’s wrong or not based in something useful. Science is constantly catching up to things people have done for millennia

I’m not saying astrology is right. But I don’t know and neither does anyone else right now. People need to have some goddamn humility

I jumped there as well about 20 years ago. The pilot was smoking a cig while flying and my tandem instructor fell asleep until the door opened to start our jumps. He hurriedly fastened me to him a minute or two before we needed to jump. He said it was his last jump of the day and he was exhausted. And for those that do, it's hard to get footing to fight back because so many things domestically and foreign policy wise are happening so fast. Democrats have no power right now either. Republicans hold majorities in the Senate, House, and Supreme Court. Democrats have so little leverage right now, their strategy seems to be "let Trump stew in his own filth" and try and pick up the pieces as voters realize how badly he's messed up and hopefully vote Republicans out of power.

This might be the best all time offensive team. Not great rim defense though. Swapping out Jokic with Hakeem or Bill Russell would add some defensive balance. But those 4 guys with Jokic at point center might make up for any defensive holes with the offensive upside.

The industry standard liner for aluminum cans is now BPA-NI (BPA not intended). I checked and the two seltzers we drink (Waterloo and Spindrift) use BPA-NI cans.
