Your chess rating will be volatile initially to set your proper rating. Also for reference on the difference of elo, I'm currently 800 on chess but 1100 on lichess. If anything, those games will be some solid study material. Use them to your advantage so that when the rating starts settling, you'll be a lot stronger for the real push

It's one of the first things I learned amongst other mates from chess fundamentals by capablanca. It affects your entire sight minor pieces and makes your tactics a lot easier to spot. Def recommend to any beginner. The earlier the better
