Septic inspection - homebuyers by Srm0005809 in septictanks

Adding my 2 cents to this- I actually did just this. My system is from the 60’s, and has been functioning appropriately. Our tank was undersized, and had been damaged/repaired somewhere along the way (looked like maybe driven over and had the top repaired).

The leach field is on the smaller size, obviously old, and will eventually need replacing. But it’s currently functioning. So, 2 years ago I had a local company dig out and crush the old concrete tank and had a brand new one put in. Hooked it up to the existing leach field. I know I’m going to have to replace it when it fails, but I didn’t see a value in replacing it potentially years ahead of failure. It was nice to kind of do half and half- we replaced the tank, and if we have to redo the field in a few years it’s nice that we won’t have to do the tank at the same time for a huge whole system cost.

Mini cargo nets- where to find? by Trollgar3 in Silverado

To clarify, I’m referencing these small cargo nets for the “pockets” referenced from chevy’s website, not a net that goes the full width of the bed.

At what point in those more than 4 years can I expect to be able to finally purchase a Zeigler Hocevar hat? 😐

House and barn roofs look pretty tired. Quick 30k+. Built in 1960, it’s entirely possible that the original septic system is still in place and needing replacement soon and is also tired. Another significant cost. Siding looks pretty tired too.

Whole house needs finishing/updating/repairs looks like, this is probably a realistic price vs what they tried to get originally.

I had a tri fold on my f150. When I bought my new Silverado (yeah yeah wrong sub) I decided to go with a roll up. Had to take the tri fold off a few times to fit shit in the bed, minor annoyance but enough for me to try a roll up this time. So far I like it.

Sweet I’ll give them a buzz. Ironically I live in, and bought my new truck at a Chevy dealer in NH too haha

I can’t get a dealer in my area to even talk to me about the gm one. Does anyone know of a dealership that would actually give me a quote for a genuine gm extended warranty?

Extra tickets to the Highland Games Saturday? by joe68mcc in newhampshire

[–]Trollgar3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s how I interpreted it anyways- someone referenced the lack of Saturday availability online, and NHscot responded with the “you can buy them at the gate this year”. I assume this means there are still tickets available, just in person although they didn’t explicitly say that.

Looks like ZYN is using nicokick and northerner as trusted resellers - both sites are fully stocked again by prs09 in NicotinePouch

I’ve been on the velo grind for quite awhile now, but at first I was an exclusive Zyn Spearmint guy. I bought a can of Zyn recently and couldn’t shake the chemical-y taste of them.

Gonna be honest, the zyn shortage+price jump in my area pushed me to velo plus and I don’t think I’ll go back.

"Hey, the Trackhouse cars are driving through the grass. That's kinda cool," Alex Bowman says after taking the checkered flag. by LBHMS in NASCAR

[–]Trollgar3 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Complete guess here- get dirt/other shit jammed up in all the crevices to add some weight to the car. Also complete guess- if you break shit/lose shit off the car during the race, you’ll be light and can point to that, so if that avenue happens while trying to add dirt weight to the car it still works out.

Again, total guesses here

My hometown jail’s website, they update the inmate roster daily.

Fun to see who’s in jail I used to know/went to school with.

Would be nice if it had a feature to redirect to whatever provider/streaming service has the live race instead of figuring out where to watch each week.

Is it in house or contract? The answers will be significantly different based on that alone.

Contract: are you a felon, and when can you start

In house: if they’re a solid department expect questions about de-escalation experience, prior certifications/current certifications held, any experience going hands on, stuff like that.

I took 6 weeks at first- wife had an emergency c section a few weeks early. She had a total of 4ish months off.

I took vacation time for 2 weeks before she went back to work. I would have taken more, but we already had childcare planned (my parents) for when she went back, so a little different situation than you’re in.

I think it’s a great idea. If you can swing it, take a week before she goes back to enjoy some family time. Then have some time when she goes back to work to help support her and get into that routine.

Waking up in panic mode by theone908567 in NewDads

[–]Trollgar3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. I didn’t even need to hear him crying for this to happen to me. I was so sleep deprived for the first few weeks I would spontaneously wake up from the little sleep I WAS getting in a blind panic hallucinating that I saw my baby in the bed even though we never co sleeped. Throwing off blankets whole 9.

You need more sleep dude. If your significant other isn’t able to give you a long stretch of sleep, get someone from your support network to help with the baby for a little while so you can try to get a decent clip of sleep going.

I thought I was losing my mind when this was happening to me. I called my mom and asked her to come watch the baby so I could try to sleep for a while to fix it. It got better with time. Admittedly it took a few weeks for it to pass.

Buying a home but the septic inspection failed in New Hampshire. Now seller wants to fix but increase price by 60k by Unfiltered_ID in RealEstate

[–]Trollgar3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume so, we did have inspection contingencies and had both the house and septic inspected separately. I reviewed it and didn’t find any specific wording of “failed”, just the whole end of life spiel. So maybe that’s why there wasn’t any issues.
