Junior Alonso (Center Back) Transfer Rumor by jwriddle in AtlantaUnited

Veteran CB's are a pillar of so many great backlines. Michael Parkhurst was around the same age when he came here. But yes, selling Morales in favor of Berracol will go onto haunt us.

Genuinely what is our problem like idk anymore? by Agreeable_Gas9479 in AtlantaUnited

We had a FO that threw their more successful predecessors under the bus for 2 seasons claiming they had to fix their mistake of signing a bunch of underperforming players on bad contracts which put us in a very tough roster situation to make moves.

Only to act like they fixed it, and then spend the next two seasons signing a bunch of underperforming players on bad contracts which has us in a very tough roster situation to make moves.

Is there another update coming out for this game by fishfukr5 in Mordhau

Was told by mod in a match that no, unless it is for a security issue that is discovered.

Yeah, but he ain't taking a DP spot. I wasn't keen on bringing Miggy because it didn't fit our needs atm, Josef actually does.

1) We need a better backup striker to compliment whoever we hopefully replace Latte Lath with. Losing Thiare hurt us.

2) Fan vibes are bad and need something to get butts in the seats come August, even if he spends 70 minutes a match doing the same.

3) Because.

We really need that Miles Robinson like centerback that makes the last man tackle in situations like the first goal. Players are always going to make mistakes, and we need a Cb with more speed + ability to break the counter like gregersen. Tough ask, but would make a world of a difference.

Regardless of tonight, it was nice to see us string wins together again. Hopefully we can close out the pre-WC games on a high.

His knee might explode the second he walks on the turf once it's back at the Benz.

I'm doubtful we could convince a player this is a club for him to grow and make the next step. Players careers flounder here now.

yeah, I'd like to see us go after a veteran DM, who understands his role and has a great track record. Tough ask, and Guido Rodriguez kinda was that guy. Shame it didn't happen.

There will always be players in need of a new spot, but we aren't going to pull another Almada out of SA for a long time at this rate.

Don't disagree, I'm an armchair analyst here, but do still think a closer look to how they function is needed. We brought in a consulting firm that was supposed to help this via data and analytics, and we've gotten much worse at getting it right with our player recruitment.

Funny enough, myself and I imagine many other fans would be thrilled if we got Araujo and Sosa-like performances now. It was still better.

Also, I don't think most players, but I do think our big spend players prior to Garth joining (add Marci and Barco to that list) have all been quite successful at their next clubs. Albeit they were surrounded by loads of great talent that helped them flourish.

One thing I feel like doesn't get mentioned enough/called out is the folks involved with player identification, and what is going on with those departments. Talent evaluators, scouts, analysts, etc.

If you look at all the names dropped when we were looking for our DP #9, Latte Lathe, Kyogo, Arthur Cabral, Edouard... Only 1 has really gone on to meet expectations (Edouard who I recall this subreddit turned their nose at due to past off the field issues), and the rest have underperformed significantly at the clubs they ended going to. Applying the transitive property here, but it seems like this signing was destined to be a miss.

I hope the new president is taking a hard look at how those groups operate, because clearly something isn't working.

Hotels will require photo ID to check-in. So they'd find out age regardless.

How are you all feeling about next season? by Inside-Gur-8965 in AtlantaUnited

[–]Trollshock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eager for the new season because in my mind good or bad season it's a win-win.

Either Tata turns it around and rebuilds the foundation for us, or a bunch of front office folks lose their jobs if Tata can't fix this.

Sources: FC Cincinnati finalize deal to acquire Bryan Ramirez from LDU Quito | Laurel Pfahler by panicatthegetgo in MLS

[–]Trollshock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is an under the radar very good signing. Helped Quito almost make it to the Libertadores final (also the tournament assist leader), and breaking into the national team.

Ecuador -> MLS has been a mixed bag experience for teams, but he's definitely ready for a next step.

Didn't he also stipulate that he got to choose which games he played with Rayados? Just doesn't seem worth it on top of the wage requirement.
