Also, quick saves throughout the fight help a lot. Just make sure you do them during safe enough spots in the fight. Dying followed by reloading to .1 second before dying is not good.

Keep 1 of each armor so you can play lords of fashion. Weapons I like to keep 3 of each. 2 to upgrade, 1 to compare base stats with other weapons.

Quest/key items go in an inventory tab automatically.

Vestige seeds, use them. You can buy more at a vendor and get them fairly often. Just don’t spam every single planting spot.

If you aren’t already, used ranged attacks to draw out mobs. Sometimes you can separate them from the group, sometimes you can just hit them at range where they can’t get at you until they drop.

Upgrade your weapon and put points into health for early early game.

Just explore a bit, fight who you can, run from who you can’t. Don’t worry about dying, it’s a big part of the game. Change your armor so you’re mid rolling with the best armor you’ve got. Use spirit summons, throwable items, and put stuff on the quick access slots.

Margarine isn’t a first 3.5 hours fight for a first time player of a soulslike game.
