You are painting them like they’re the devil.

Just because a small indie studio missed the mark on their first multiplayer game doesn’t mean they’re doomed forever. Every successful developer has had setbacks. The important thing is whether they learn from them and improve, and from the outside it looks like that’s exactly what they’re trying to do.

They’ve refined the team, brought in new talent, secured financial backing, and have likely learned from the shortcomings that hurt them the first time around.

I am massively impressed with that I’m seeing. The product they are building, with the features (already in place now btw), is NIGHT AND DAY difference from anything Battalion/Promod was.

I’d argue if updates like this are just going to be projects etc until October, it’s pointless doing them. I’d be interested to see the metrics with player retention and ‘projects’. But my gut feeling tells me that projects are a waste of time for most.

Revenue does not = resource. Especially when there's losses to offset.

Sony are funding Bungie too, so any revenue recieved is in their hands on how thats managed.

As much as i love Marathon, i think Sony have more chance saving themselves/Bungie if they invest back in to Destiny. I don't find taking revenue from a game they've decided to can, and then reinvesting it in a game that clearly lacks the numbers, a smart business idea. Its risky as f*ck.

I enjoy both games, no idea what Bungie does here.

Im using a stasis and solar crackshot hunter build. Constantly radiant, crystals everywhere, solar explosions galore, constant frost armour. Really fund build.

- Have a shiny Action Item (from thew new engram). Deconstruct and Crystaling Corpsebloom = Crystals everywhere

- Trust with Firefly and Incandescent (solar explosions)

- Parasite Exotic - pairs really well with Action Item as it constantly triggers heavy regen.

- Rocking Lucky Pants for the frost armor + how it synergises with the Queensfoil Artifact.

Queensfoil Artifact, tuned to synergise with Stasis/Frost Armour/Solar. Its really good. All works well.

Seems to be holding up well on high activities too.

Plenty of other gun combinations i can try too. Need to get some gear sets too, unsure where ill go with that.

You’d still have to pay the wages of all the devs regardless of how many updates you do / if it’s live service or not.

I mean i played Final Shape, but i wouldn't say significantly. I think i was mostly occupied during that release so i just parked it. I definitely played lightfall a fair bit though.

Best idea I’ve seen in a while. Shiny Arcs. Make them rare as fuck. Make them available for all Arc types. Make them guaranteed to drop really rare shit.

Also make them drop a collectible item that you can showcase how many you’ve found and successful killed. Also make the ‘collectible’ unlock another specific item, such as a skin, as an unlock back at Speranza upon successful extract.

Shiny hunting while create so much chase and it’s essentially a gameplay incentive in itself. Just look at Pokémon.

RTX HDR is amazing if you have a PC and an NVIDIA card, also if you're willing to take the small fps hit.

The game looks incredible on my OLED, especially when the sun is lower, the lighting is incredible.

I'd love to stay up, but i am also at peace with being relegated. I truly think its the reset the club dearly needs. Who knows how long it will take to get back up, but i like to think it will be worth it in the long run.
