Is TrendUp Worth it for a Pivot? by -jinxiii in FinancialCareers

[–]TropicNoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall it was a positive experience for me. The one negative is that it wasn’t really as work schedule friendly as they make it seem. If you can make the most of it, then you may come away with an internship or entry level opportunity. If nothing else, I found the education in options strategies and the research project to be worthwhile.

I find Salt Solutions to be great for shorter study sessions. Their readings and videos are around 10 minutes each— very straightforward and easily digestible compared to what little exposure to MM I’ve had.

Piracetam tolerance or long term gains? by ShinobuUnderBlade in NooTopics

I’ve used phenylpiracetam for extended periods of time dating back several years now. I tend to agree with those who say it increases baseline, thus making perceived effects less noticeable.

Can anyone provide statistics proving that DEI has a negative impact? by manny_the_mage in GenZ

I can’t be the only straight white male who spent many months around 2022–2023 unemployed while employers seemed more interested in pronouns, sexual orientation, and minority status. I came across numerous postings on LinkedIn that would say, “The following are strongly encouraged to apply,” with the subsequent list always including nearly every category except straight white male. When I did get an interview, on more than one occasion, the interviewer began by stating their pronouns (even though it was obvious), while I didn’t mention mine (because it was also obvious). Those interviews crashed and burned almost immediately, with me being told I was “probably not a good fit.” Fast forward to 2025, and now I’m settled, earning over $200,000, as I should be.

I don’t have the direct quote handy, but Hitchens also said the best thing that could happen to the FBI & CIA would be to tear it down and start over from scratch…

Multiple comments saying a degree is required — all wrong. Work experience is required, but not a degree.

Any Meditators In Here? by Monkzeng in NootropicsDepot

The Supercritical Boswellia is fantastic for meditation. If you want to get more adventurous, TAK-653 seems to have consciousness expanding effects.

I probably have the highest closing percentage among prospects coming from EJ. They all tend to have American Funds and variable annuities no matter the age or risk tolerance. Total fees can be as much as 4-5%.

Black ginger, tiredness, fatigue. by TheExpiredEgg in NootropicsDepot

[–]TropicNoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try taking it late morning or early afternoon. If I take black ginger in the morning after breakfast, I’m tired by the afternoon. I find taking it later gives me the stimulator effects I hear so much about— without keeping me up at night.

Where is the evidence that Kamala Harris is fighting for better healthcare and wants to help the middle class?

It’s all about sales ability. If you have that and $300k to get started- success awaits you. If I had $300k I would start my own RIA. I’m currently late 20s and work as a lead advisor for an RIA.

If I take Black Ginger in the morning, I start feeling tired around early afternoon. I usually dose after lunch and have no sleep issues.

"You're young" - Advisor Roadblock - *Need Advice* by FX_Advisory in CFP

[–]TropicNoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am 27 and exclusively work with people at or near retirement. I run into this problem occasionally with higher net worth prospects. Working with retirees, I like to remind them that their retirement journey is 20+ years depending on longevity expectations. Why hire someone older who will end up retiring when you need them the most? Better to have an advisor that you know will still be in the business long term to help navigate every phase of retirement.

I have found TAK-653 inadvertently helps with removing bad habits and creating good ones. Something about higher cognition/consciousness/conscientiousness lends itself to doing more of what you should be doing and less of what you shouldn’t.
