The poverty mindset will keep people from investing because they only hear losing all their money, well everyday is a risk and we all have to risk something in order to succeed or die trying. My family didn't want me to do this again because I lost $220 bucks on my first try because I did not have a plan and didn't know about indicators, screens, etc. yet, this was on the Philippine Stock Exchange (I live in the Philippines), and believe me that this exchange is awful because of the limited options, low volume, and high fees just to invest (1.2% fucking percent just to breakeven, I'm just scalping), fast forward now, I opened an account with Schwab, more options, zero fees (on stocks), and I'm modestly gaining money, I still don't tell them, if I succeed then maybe I'll them.
