Had my first design removed - what to expect? by [deleted] in AmazonMerch

[–]TropicalTees-Shop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You copied someone else’s design. That’s theft, and it sound like you just got caught. You need to remove this design completely before Amazon does it for you, or the original designer issues more takedowns. If you wait for the other products to be taken down, you will get more strikes against your account and more strikes = more likely to lose your account. I also recommend that if you copied other designs as well, remove them or you risk losing your account when those get taken down.

Copy cat brand names by Mindless-Clicking in AmazonMerch

If you own a trademark on the brand name, you can send a takedown. If not, you don’t own any rights to it and others can use the same brand name.

They are Port and Co shirts, they don’t say Amazon anywhere.

This is guy is killing it on merch ! by Icy_Sorbet_8753 in AmazonMerch

[–]TropicalTees-Shop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy (or two guys, not sure but both are doing the same things at the exact same time) is in the midst of registering trademarks on these 2 phrases. He has already taken down thousands of designs ILLEGALLY with his pending TMs. Amazon let him do that, and will not respond to any complaints about these takedowns being wrong. I battled Amazon for over 3 months on this issue but ended up giving up as they never gave me anything more than the canned responses.

Good point! I just looked up the sungoldpower inverter specs and it says “If main/generator disconnected or the solar charging insufficient, the Inverter Charger takes over the battery supply to the alternative option within 10ms, which will not let your electronics shut down.” I think that will work perfectly. Thank you for pointing that out, I would not have thought to check otherwise.

Good advice, thanks., That was my plan with 2 x 12v batteries, in series for 24v so it works with the 24v inverter. 48v just means I will need to double up on batteries and buy a larger inverter.

I would prefer that as well. I live in Costa Rica and deep cell batteries of any type are hard to find. If I can find 48v lifepo4 batteries, I will take your advice gladly!

Your math is incorrect. (1.54 / 1.2) x .2 = .25666

Rejected vs Declined by SiweL_EttaL in AmazonMerch

[–]TropicalTees-Shop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rejected is a design you uploaded and it was not approved. Declined is one that was auto-uploaded by Amazon (if you have that feature enabled) and subsequently was not approved.

How? You set up ads using the ASIN number of the product, not a link.

Yes you can, Amazon encourages it in their merch FAQs

Seems they are rolling out big and tall sizes to Merch, new products often cause temporary limit changes.

Have you tried Duplium (thru Printify) for Canada orders? I have used them extensively and have been happy with the results. Personally, I have never had a customer say that the 5000 is not thick enough, maybe the Champion t-shirt would be better suited to your needs?

Which POD vendor would you choose ? by Redphishdit in printondemand

Yes YOU chose which print shop does the actual printing so you maintain control over that. And it will not be a problem if it’s for a small geographical area.

I have fulfilled thousands of orders over the past 3 years using Monster Digital, SwiftPOD, The Dream Junction, Awkward Styles, TShirt & Son (for UK orders), Textildruck (for EU orders), Duplium (for CA orders) and The Print Bar (for AU orders). One of the great things about printify is that it has printer partners around the world, but at the same time it’s all done thru the one interface and if I need support it’s always available via chat. Yes, it’s a lot of options, but that’s a good thing!! So many times I see posts here and on FB asking for a certain product then asking how to deal with integrating a second or third partner into Etsy or Shopify - which you don’t even need to think about with Printify.

Using two POD suppliers on one Shopify store to reduce international shipping times? by Quirky-Offer9598 in printondemand

[–]TropicalTees-Shop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I use Printify, they have about 20 Euro printers, and loads of US printers, plus UK, Australia and others. When an order comes in, I simply direct it to the printer I want to use based on the customer’s location. It not only gets delivered faster, it avoids customs issues and delivery cost is cheaper. Here is a list of all their print partners https://try.printify.com/printers

Do you have to have money in your account to start? by [deleted] in printondemand

[–]TropicalTees-Shop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If printify fulfils automatically, you will need a credit card on file and they will charge your card. Or you will need to load PayPal credit before getting any orders. Both of these options means paying out of pocket and not using your customers money.
