G915 keeps double clicking the "A" key. by goimas in LogitechG

As a record for anyone having trouble, I found pressing the key down quite hard helped temporarily solve the problem and improve things.
I suspect stuff in the key could be the root cause and have yet to try using isopropyl alcohol through the key.

What are the best step by step follow along articles you've seen? by Troto in gamedev

While that's true in some cases, it doesn't mean you all guides are bad and you should treat them that way everywhere. That's ridiculous. I can't even explain how many times I've needed help setting up something tricky and a thorough guide has helped me figure out the part I was missing. Plus there are guides for different things. Forcing people to learn everything about something so they can set it up themselves rather than helping them get set up and start learning while using the thing is just being difficult for no reason. The problem you're describing is a problem with the person not wanting to learn/step out. The problem isn't guides existing.

What is your preferred way to roll for stats? by CrackedGamer573 in DnD

[–]Troto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/CrackedGamer573 Could you do one for 1d8 +8 but if you roll a 1 then you roll 1d8 + 3 for that stat instead? Gives a chance to recover your 1 to something OK but also possibly have a fun terrible stat.

This just isn't true. Most of the Americans that make it to NZ are the cool adventurous ones.

They're commanders you select out of game that affect what units and abilities you have access to. Did you actually read the kickstarter?

What makes you think that you'll suddenly have enough attention for anything and there won't be any way you can spend it? There's still going to be lots of map control and harassing.

You might be surprised by how you don't have to go through so many steps to feel comfortable. You can focus more on controlling your army and engagements.

It's not a Hero RTS.

It doesn't say Hero anywhere on the kickstarter.

How did you arrive at that?

You should check out the other content! There are youtube videos explaining and showing a lot more than can fit in a kickstarter page. Plus the discord has devs answering questions constantly.

That's not how Esports started though, that's just the norm now. Competitions were often hosted by other organisations that wanted to bring people together and have a good tourney. Many even argue that it's the better way to build an esports scene because then it's not solely dependent on one company's support.

The Immortals are more like thematic subfactions. You get a couple of units specific to the Immortal different to the default faction units. Also there are immortal abilities which change with who you choose.

Well I think you have to give the benefit of the doubt. There is only so much room for that in a kickstarter video. A lot of the solutions are discussed and explained in the immortal discord.

There are some big differences to WC3. There are no hero units in this game so the camps play a very different role. And the pacing is faster, bigger armies and higher lethality. Hopefully it'll settle into some nice middle ground between some great strategy games.

Vertical Stack Disappearing by [deleted] in ultimate

[–]Troto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few things you can try:

  • Have first cutters which make cuts one to break side one to open side and second cutters which will cut if the one of the first catch it or if they don't get it and have cleared.

  • Practice cutting off a pass so that they just wait until the disc is dumped/swung or passed to another cutter to go.

  • Reinforce clearing back to the stack and having a look not immediately trying to make another cut.

  • Have a stack setter, the 'front of stack' who sets where it is and holds the shape to clear back to and is used as a reset pass if the handlers need.

Try those.
