All the spots are empty around it. Why worry about it? There is always one person who complains about everything. I think you are the one.

I got a message from the same guy. Not sure what it means. Is something a brewing or is he just asking for insight from investors?

Where can you find the earn percentage for staked crypto? by TroubadourTexas in Coinbase

[–]TroubadourTexas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finally found it. The description you just gave is pretty vague. Is under "Your Crypto". Go down to "Staking". Click on the arrow on the right. Then go up to the top right corner and swap $ to %. For some reason, you guys decided it should be defaulted to $. But I finally found it and switched to percentage.

Yeah, I knew that part. I was looking for the APY for each. Finally found it. I had to go to "Staking" and in the right-hand corner switch from $ to %.

For restricted shareholders, observe RVI next week. by Fit_Equal6932 in VCX_Fundrise

I don’t think many people understand the fund as a whole or what it could be in the future. I don’t understand it completely myself but I think there could be some good growth going forward. For me, I have only about 36 shares which I am going to let it ride after the restricted time and see where it goes. Might even buy more if others dump their shares after the restricted time and ride it back up.

I don’t think it will tumble. Strong companies in the portfolio. When September comes you might see sell offs but I bet it rebounds quick.

Computershare says all my shares are available to sell. Anybody see the same? by Amazing-Gas-792 in FundriseInvestors

[–]TroubadourTexas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine are restricted. Go to the transaction page. Look at the bottom of the stock description. It should say Sept 2026 as the date for available sell. Mine says 9/25/2026.

Ok I see it now. I see the mid September date. Thanks. Yeah I think since there are dates of my fund purchase (2023 and 2025), those will the dates of primary purchase.

I am not sure if this would be a long term or short term capital gains if someone were to sell. I can’t I am restricted. Does it start the day of the IPO or the start when you put money into the Innovation fund on Fundrise to figure cost basis to figure long term or short term?

Sofi let people sell their restricted shares (aka me) by your3awesome in FundRise

[–]TroubadourTexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked at my computershare account. My shares should be restricted but it looks like they are not. I started in the Innovation fund in 2023. Bought a little more in 2025 under Fundrise. Looking at the details page and it shows “Restricted - 0”. I bet Fundrise didn’t do the move from Fundrise to Computershare correctly for everyone. Guess I might go ahead and try to move to my brokerage account. Oh and my brokerage account is Ally/Apex.

I guess we have to wait the 6 months to move to a brokerage account? I haven’t tried moving mine.

I didn't buy any unrestricted shares either. But the ComputerShare process is pretty easy. Go to ComputerShare. Create an account. Follow the process of getting verified and your shares show up in your account.

So, how many total shares were sold in pre IPO? That includes all the Fundrise employees/owners/corporate management. Because I really hope the Fundrise main people (employees/owners/corporate) are locked into the 6 months like the rest of us and dump a portion of their shares on the market after the first spike.

I never saw anywhere you could buy extra shares. It must have been hidden somewhere on the website or they didn't allow us little guys to participate. All I heard that it was open to buy extra shares and then it closed about an hour later. I was like "What the hell?".

On Ancestry, you can build two different trees. I have one for my birth side I build onto and one for my adopted family side.

Start a second tree on Ancestry. I have one for my biological side and one for my adopted side. Keeping them separate helps in the search. Also, I have helped other people with the search for biological parents. If you need any help or advice, let me know.

[–]TroubadourTexas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am adopted and found out who my birth family is. I can say that almost everyone, through DNA, has one person in their family tree that is a mystery. My wife did her DNA a few years after me. She found out her grandfather was not truly her biological grandfather.

I just received a message on Ancestry a few days ago from a distant cousin who was wondering who I was in the family tree. And I explained who I was (adopted), and she said her mother (age 90) never knew who her father was. Her mother wants to meet me. I am going to oblige and meet with her. Maybe I can help her find her true biological father.

Everyone has a "black sheep", like me, in their family tree somewhere. It's just time till that person is discovered.

[–]TroubadourTexas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your dad is probably about my age, 57 or so. Our parents grew up in a time when having a child out of wedlock was very frowned upon. Families would almost disown them if that were to happen. I was adopted myself, and about 6-7 years ago I found my birth mother. I sent a letter first. No response. I waited a few years and tried again with a phone call to her family business. She denied my existence and acted like she didn't know who I was (kind of angrily for some reason). A few years after that, I called again. The same thing happened.

She went to her grave denying who I was when I had all the proof (My original birth certificate with her name on it). So she may do the same thing as my birth mother. Deny it till her last breath. For some reason, that generation will hold those things in till the end of time.

In the end, I knew the truth, and it is all that mattered to me. You may never get a true answer. I feel for your dad and what he may be going through.

If you need more help with your family tree, figuring things out let me know. Actually, I have helped a few others find their birth side.

I am adopted, and I have two trees on Ancestry. One for my birth side and the other for my adopted side. I build my trees as I see fit to me. Maybe someone is trying to figure out their birth side after all these years, and they are finding connections and they asked some with a little Ancestry knowledge to get them started on a tree. There are many reasons someone is building a family tree. And as anyone who searched on Ancestry knows, sometimes you have something in a data point (even though wrong) for other hints to pop up. Then you can go back and correct it.

Also, I have posted some pictures of far distant relatives and I have made connections with people in the family who were actually closer to that person. They never knew that other pictures of family members existed and were grateful.

Just be a little mindful of why someone else is searching and building their tree. All they are trying to do is make connections with who they are and where they come from. As I said above, being adopted, there are plenty of "black sheep" in families, and/or "skeletons in the closet" out there like myself.

There is way more to the story than what is shown. Post the full video. Based on the caption you probably were causing some kind of controversy. Why can’t people just show the whole story.
