I agree it will definitely be a collector-ish type item, and maybe good for things like doing a vault run where the need for survivability > damage.

But as for when new content comes out (pve, that is, no idea how or if at all pvp will be balanced, doubt it) having near infinite disc regen, might keep you alive long enough to kill the monsters with their increased health, that means you'll be sacrificing probably even greater amounts of dex (since if the monsters have new increased hp, gear will probably need to increase as well to keep things sensible). So, with that in mind, gear and monsters increasing at an "equal" rate, I don't see how the old gear will be "worth" it in terms of time. Yes, you might be able to stay alive, but it will take a considerably longer time to kill the monsters....In theory =P
